BULK STOR'zG.I; ABOVE GROUND OF BENZITTE, GASOLINE AND 71IAPHTHA <br />Be it ordained by the Council. of the City of Charlottesville that storage in bulk <br />of benzine, gasoline and naphtha in storage tanks above ground within the fire limits is <br />prohibited. , <br />Permits for the ,torage in bulk of benzine, gasoline and naphtha outside of the fire <br />limits in above ground storage tanks may be permitted by the Council in such quantities <br />not exceeding twenty-five th)usand (25,000) gallons in a tank and in such locations and <br />subject to slich regulations as the Council may prescribe. <br />Any person, firm or corporation storing benzine gasoline or naphtha in bulk above <br />ground within the fire limits, or outside of the fire limits without first obtaining the <br />proper permit from the Council shall be punished by a fine of not less than fifty dollars <br />($50.00) and each day such violation continued shall constit7ate a separate offense. <br />This ordinance shall not apply to storage of benzine, gasoline or naphtha in railway <br />tank cars in transit. <br />Permits authorized by the Council under this ordinance shell be signed by City Yana - <br />ger and may be revoked by the Council at any time. <br />Adopted by the Council April 18, 1927. <br />Ayest Brown, Morris and Joachim; Noes, None. <br />Ik y 1-a- 1/-, ( - <br />Clerk President <br />PROPERTY 077IMS RE IPONSIBLE FOR WATER RATES OR 14AH (POSIT <br />Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that an ordinance en- <br />titled "Property Owners Responsible for ',eater Rates:", enacted May 5, 1924, be amended <br />and reordained so as tr) read as followst Water shall be supplied only where the owner <br />or owners of the property to be supplied unites in making application therefor, and <br />eater rents shall be assessed against such owner or owners who in all cases shall be res- <br />ponsible for the water supplied to such property, regardless of who uses the water or oc- <br />cupies the premises, provided, however, that the oviner or owners of the property will not <br />be required to unite in applications for water nor be responsible therefor if a deposit <br />Of five dollars ($5.00) accompanies the application. <br />Clerk <br />Adopted by the Council April 18, 1927. <br />Ayes t Brown, Morris and Joachim; Noes, None. <br />President <br />939 <br />
