<br />3. Other Property.
<br />Upon any tingible personal property not included in the foregoing which is not exempt
<br />from local taxation, the tax shall be $1.05 (One Dollar and five centsf on every $100.00
<br />assessed value thereof to pay the kgeneral operating expenses of the City government and the
<br />interest and sinking fund on the City debt other than schools, and there shall be levied an
<br />additional tax on every $100.00 assessed value thereof of $0.23 (twenty-three cents) to pay
<br />the interest and sinking fund on school bonds and $0.57 (fifty-seven cents) for the maintenance
<br />and operating of the City schools.
<br />All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

<br />1934, ENTITLED "BEER, WINE, SPIRITS, ALCOHOL MORE THAN 3.2,°S.
<br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that Section 23 of the
<br />License Tax Ordinance for the year 1934 be amended and reenacted so as to read as follows;
<br />SEC, 23. BEER - WINE - SPIRITS - ALCOHOL MORE THAN 3.2,%.
<br />On every person producing or handling for sale any beverage, as defined
<br />and permitted b7 an Act of the General Assembly of Virginia, approved March 7th,
<br />1934, entitled 'Alcohol Beverage Control Act", the annual license tax shall be
<br />as follows:
<br />For each Distillers License, for the manufacture of more than 5000 gallons-- 500.00
<br />For each Winery license for the manufacture of more than 5000 gallons....... 200.00
<br />Por each Brewery License...•.........•.•..• ................................. 500.00
<br />For each Bottlers License ................................................... 200.00
<br />For each Wholesale Beer License ............................................. 50.00
<br />For each Wholesale Wine Distributors License ................................ 30.00

<br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND REENACTING SECTION 494 (30) OF THE CITY CODE OF 1932•
<br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that Section 494 (30)
<br />of the City Code of 1932, be and the same is hereby amended and reenacted to read as
<br />follows;
<br />SEC. 494 (30) (A). Dwelling Houses - Prohibited Location.
<br />No dwelling house or sleeping quarters shall be placed over, or be connected
<br />directly with a stable, barn, haymow, public garage, dry cleaning establishment,
<br />planing mill, carpenter shop, paint shop or Pilling station, provided that the same
<br />may be permitted if the equipment used therein is approved by the National Board of
<br />Fire Underwriters.
<br />All ordinances cr parts of ordinances in o onrilet herewith are hereby repealed* and
<br />this ordinance shall be in force and effect from the date of its passage.
