the laws in force for the assessment of license taxes for the State, except where it is <br /> <br />otherwise provided by an ordinance of the City. <br /> <br />Any person failing to pay such license tax on the date fixed by the annual license <br /> <br />tax ordinance shall be subject to a penalty of five per centum of the amount of the license <br /> <br />tax then due, and such penalty, shall be assessed and paid along with the license tax and <br /> <br />shall become a part of the license tax. <br /> <br />It shall be the duty of the Conor. ssioner of Revenue to report in writing to the Mayor <br /> <br />each case of default as soon as it comes to his knowledge and if there be no default he shall <br /> <br />so report. <br /> <br />It shall be duty the duty of the Mayor immediately upon receipt of such report to detail <br /> <br />a policeman and cause such delinquents to be summoned before the Civil and Police Justice to <br /> <br />show cause why they should not be fined under the provisions of the license tax ordinance. <br /> <br />All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. <br /> <br />Adopted by the Council <br /> <br />March 11, 1935 <br /> <br />Ayes: Mr. Fife, Mr. Huff, <br /> <br />Mr. Jessup, and Mr. Twyman <br /> <br />Noes: None. <br /> <br />Clerk Signature <br />President Signature <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND RE-ENACTING SECTION 92 OF THE CITY <br /> <br />CODE. OF 1932. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that Section 92 of the City <br /> <br />Code be amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows: <br /> <br />SEC. 92.
