1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />3 <br />the laws in force for the assessment of license taxes for the State, except where it is <br />otherwise provided by an ordinance of the City. <br />Any person.failing to pay such license tax on the date fixed by the annual license <br />tax ordinance shall be subject to a penalty of five per centum of the amount of the license <br />tax then due, and such penalty, shall be assessed and paid along with the license tax and <br />shall become a part of the license tax. <br />It shall be the duty of the Conor. ssioner of Revenue to report in writing tothe Mayor <br />each case of default as soon as it comes to his knowledge and if there be no default he shall <br />so report. <br />It shall be duty the duty of the Mayor immediately upon receipt of such report to detEd1 <br />a policeman and cause such delinquents to be summoned before the Civil and Police Justice to <br />show cause why they should not be fined under the provisions of the license tax ordinance. <br />All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. <br />e <br />Adopted by the Council <br />March 11, 1935 <br />Ayes: Mr. Fife, Mr. Huff, <br />Mr. Jessup, and Mr. Twyman <br />Noes: None. <br />i <br />res dent <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND RE-ENACTING SECTION 92 OF THE CITY <br />CODE. OF 1932. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that Section 92 of the City <br />Code be amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows: <br />SEC. 92. COMMISSIONER OF REVENUE - COMPENSATION. <br />The Commissioner of Revenue shall receive such Compensation as is provided <br />by the statutes of the State of Virginia. <br />This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from the date of its passage, and all <br />ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict therewith are hereby repealed. <br />Clerk <br />Adopted by the Council <br />April 1, 1935 <br />Ayes: Mr.Fife, Dr. Haden, Mr. Huff, <br />Mr. Jessup and Mr. Twyman. <br />Noes: None. <br />Pre s i den <br />AN ORDINANCE AMPNDING AND RE-ENACTING SECTION 117 OF THE CITY <br />CODE OF 1932. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that Section 117 of the City <br />Code of 1932 be amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows: <br />SEC. 117.
