This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from the date of its passage, <br />and all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict therewith are hereby repealed. <br />Adopted by the Council March 7, 1937 <br />Ayes: Mr. Gleason, Dr. Haden, Mr. Huff, <br />Mr. Jessup, and Mr. Twyman. <br />Noes: None. <br />resiaens <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING liND REENACTING SECTION 437a OF THE CITY CODE <br />OF 1932 ENTITLED DIGGING GRAVES -FEES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that Section <br />437a of the City Code of 1932 be and the same is hereby amended and re-enacted <br />so as to read as follows: <br />SEC. 437 b DIGGING GRAVES - FEES. <br />The following charges shalom be made for digging graves: <br />MWhere the outside case is three feet or less in length 4"'3.50 <br />Where the outside case is over three feet but does not <br />exceed four and one-half feet in length 5.00 <br />(3) Where the outside case exceeds fo?zr and one-half feet <br />in length 10.00 <br />There shall be an additional fee of Two (4'2.00) Dollars to be charged <br />for each grave which is dug for installation of a metal vault. The above <br />fees shall be payable in advance, unless guaranteed by some resonsible person. <br />Each grave shall be not less than five feet in depth. No interment <br />shall be -made which shall disturb the remains of the dead, or which shall <br />displace or injure any monument or stone placed over a grave. <br />This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from date of its passage, and <br />all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. <br />Adopted by the Council April 5, 1937 <br />Ayes: Mr. Gleason, Dr. Haden, 11r. Twyman <br />Noes:None.�� <br />Clerk / President <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND REENACTING SECTION 336 B OF THE <br />CITY CODE OF 1932 ENTITLED WATER -APPLICATION FOR HOW MADE - <br />DEPOSIT -CONNECTION CHARGE-TE.4PORARY CONNECTION <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that Section 336 B <br />of the City Code of 1932 be and the same is hereby amended and reenacted as follows: <br />SEC. 336 C WATER-APPLICj�TION FOR HOW MADE -DEPOSIT -CONNECTION CHARGE-TFAMPORARY <br />CONNECTION <br />Whenever any person, owning or leasing property along the line of any water main, <br />shall desire the introduction of water into his premises, he shall ma'_re written <br />application therefore to the City Collecto-- on forms prescribed by him and a_oproved by <br />the City Manager, which shall set forth the name of the applicant, the location and <br />description of the property into which the water is to be introduced and the purpose <br />for which the water is to be used. For Domestic Consumers such application shall be <br />accompanied by a deposit of 4`3.00. For Commercial Consumers the deposit shall be <br />based upon the estimated consumption but shall not exceed 4}10.00. The City Manager <br />shall thereupon cause to be constructed, at the expense of the City, a service pipe <br />leading from the said water main to the curb and install a water meter thereon unless <br />the connection has been previously made. For turning water on again after it has been <br />cut off for non-payment, there shall be a charge of P1.00 payable in advance. There <br />shall be a charge of $10.00 payable in advance for all temporary connections. <br />This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from the date of its passage, <br />and all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict therewith are hereby repealed. <br />Adopted by the Coundil April 5, 1937 <br />Ayes: 32r.
