1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />r7 9 <br />AN ORDINANCE A'SENDING AND REENACTING SECTION 351 (1) OF THE CITY <br />CODE OF 1932, ENTITLED ?GAS RATES - (OPTI9NAL)? <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that Section <br />351 (1) of the City Code of 1932, be amended and reenacted so as to read as follows: <br />Sec. 351 (1) A. GAS RATES (OPTIONAL). <br />The following optional gas rates are hereby established: <br />(a) Any customer using gas for automatic water heating and for either <br />refrigeration or cooking: <br />lst 1+00 cu. ft. or less per mo. '$1.00 <br />Next 2600 cu. ft. per M cu. ft. 1.25 <br />Over 3000 cu. ft. n n n per mo. .90 <br />(b) Any customer using gas for cooking, automatic hot water heating and <br />refrigeration or any three different gas appliances: <br />1st 500 cu. ft. or less per mo. $1.00 <br />Next 2000 cu. ft. per M cu. ft. 1.25 <br />All over 2500 cu. ft. per mo. per M cu. ft. .85 <br />(c) Any customer having only a gas refrigerator or an automatic water <br />heater: <br />1st 1000 cu. ft. or less per mo. $1.10 <br />All over 1000 cu. ft. per mo. per 9 cu. ft. 1.00 <br />(d) In addition to the rate established in (c) above, the following rates <br />are available to any domestic customer having connected and in regular use a <br />gas refrigerator for which gas is billed separately, to be based upon and fixed <br />solely by the gross interior size of the refrigerator as defined below and said <br />billing to be made as a separate charge for gas refrigeration purposes only. <br />GROSS INTERIOR SIZE DIVISION IN CUBIC FEET. <br />1+.0 <br />foot <br />flat <br />rate <br />per <br />month <br />X1.75 <br />5.0 <br />foot <br />flat <br />rate <br />per <br />month <br />1.95 <br />6.0 <br />foot <br />flat <br />rate <br />per <br />month <br />2.25 <br />8.0 <br />foot <br />flat <br />rate <br />per <br />month <br />2.45 <br />11.0 <br />foot <br />flat <br />rate <br />per <br />month <br />2.90 <br />The classification of the above sizes will be made according to whichever of <br />the above gross intrior size division said refrigerator is nearest to, such size <br />determination being based solely upon computation from the manufacturerts official <br />inner measurements of said gas refrigerator. <br />This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from the date of its passage, <br />and all ordinance or parts of ordinances in conflict therewith are hereby repealed. <br />Clerk <br />Adopted by the Council July 19, 1937 <br />Ayes: Mr. Gleason, Mr. Huff, Mr. Jessup, and <br />Mr. Twyman. <br />Noes: None. <br />AN ORDINANCE ADDING A NF!" SECTION TO 7HE CITY CODE OF 1932, DESIGNATED <br />176 (a), PROHIBITING UNNECESSARY NOISE, ETC., ON THE STREETS. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that a new Section <br />be added to the City Code of 1932, which shall read as follows: <br />Sec. 176 (a) NOISE, ODORS AND FUMES. <br />It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to use or <br />occupy any street, sidewalk or alley of the City for any purpose, which will <br />increase or cause unnecessary noise, odors or fumes. <br />For a violation of this Section, the penalty shall be a fine of not <br />less than `4'1.000 and not more than ?10.00 for each offense. <br />This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from the date of its passage, <br />and all ordinances, or parts of ordinance in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. <br />Adopted by the Council August 3, 1937 <br />Ayes: Mr. Gleason, Mr. Jessup, and 'Mr. Twyman. <br />Noes: None. <br />�Alk-t(- L -L <br />Clerk V President <br />
