In addition to the rate established in (B) above, the following rates <br />are available to any domestic customer having connected and in regular <br />use a gas refrigerator for which gas is billed separately, to be based <br />upon and fixed solely by the gross interior size of the refrigerator as <br />defined below and said billing to be made as a separate charge for gas <br />refrigeration purposes only. <br />GROSS INTERIOR SIZE DIVISION IN CUBIC FEET. <br />4.0 <br />foot <br />flat <br />rate <br />per <br />month <br />$1.65 <br />5.0 <br />foot <br />flat <br />rate <br />per <br />month <br />1.50 <br />6.0 <br />foot <br />flat <br />rate <br />per <br />month <br />1.95 <br />8.0 <br />foot <br />flat <br />rate <br />per <br />month <br />2.35 <br />11.0 <br />foot <br />flat <br />rate <br />per <br />month <br />2.90 <br />The classification of the above sizes will be made according to whichever <br />of the above gross interior size division said refrigerator is nearest to, such <br />size determination being based solely upon computation from the manufacturer's <br />official inner measurements of said gas refrigerator. <br />This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from the date of its passage, <br />and all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. <br />Clerk <br />Adopted by the Council May 2, 1938. <br />Ayes: Mr. Gleason, Mr. Huff, Mr. Jessup <br />and Mr. Twyman. <br />Noes: None,' <br />e--;Adnt <br />AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTION 430 (1) <br />ENTITLED "RECREATION BOARD" OF THE CITY CODE OF 1932. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that Section 430 <br />(1) entitled, "Recreation Board" of the City Code of 1932, as amended by an Ordinance <br />adopted June 19th, 1933, be and the same is hereby repealed. <br />Adopted by the Council June 6, P38 <br />Ayes: Mr. Gleason, Mr. Huff, and Mr. <br />Jessup. <br />Noes: :Done. <br />Clerk Presiden <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND REENACTING SECTION 429 ENTITLED "SUPERINTENDENT - <br />APPOINTMENT" and SECTION 430 ENTITLED "HIS P0WERS AND DUTIES" OF THE CITY CODE <br />OF 1932 PERTAINING TO PARKS. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that Section 429, <br />entitled "Superintendent - Appointment", and Section 430 entitled "His Powers and <br />Duties" of the City Code of 1932, pertaining to Parks, be amended and re-enacted so <br />as to read as follows: <br />SEC. 429. SUPERINTENDENT-4PPOINT�TENT-POVIERS AND DUTIES. <br />(a) The City Manager shall appoint, subject to the approval of the <br />Council, a Superintendent of Par=ls and Cemeteries, who shall have special <br />charge of the public parks and cemeteries and of all property of the City <br />in and about the same. <br />(b) He shall employ, subject to the approval of the City Manager, such <br />help as may be needed for the proper maintenance and operation of the same. <br />He shall have all the powers of a member of the City Police Force within the <br />parks and cemeteries over which he has jurisdiction, and within one hundred <br />yards thereof. He shall enforce such rules and regulations as may be <br />prescribed by the Council or City Manager and shall keep order and preserve <br />the peace therein; and any one obstructing or hindering him in the discharge <br />' of his duty shall be fined not less than 85.00 nor more than A25.00 for <br />each offense. <br />SEC. 430. RULES AND REGULATIONS. <br />The City Manager shall make such rules and regulations relative <br />to the use of said parks as may be necessary, and the same when approved by <br />the Council and duly posted and published shall have the same force and <br />effect as the ordinances of the City. <br />This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from the date of its passage, and <br />all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. <br />Adopted by the Council June 6, 1938 <br />Ayes: sir.
