240 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND REENACTING SECTION 166 OF THE <br />CITY CODE OF 1932, ENTITLED "AVII INGS - PER21IT" . <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that Section 166, <br />of the City Code of 1932, entitled "Awnings - Permit?' be amended and reenacted so <br />as to read as follows: <br />SEC. 166.4 AWNINGS - PEEMIT. <br />Swinging awnings may be constructed over streets or sidewalks <br />only after securing permit from the City Manager, provided they are <br />securely attached to the building. Such awnings shall not extend <br />beyond the curb line and all parts of such awnings including the <br />curtains and flaps shall clear the sidewalk at least 72 feet. <br />Any person violating any provision of this section shall be fined <br />not more than $10.00 for each offense. Each day such violation <br />continues shall constitute a separate offense. <br />All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, <br />and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from the date of its passage. <br />Adopted by the Council August 7, 1939. <br />Ayes: L1r. Huff, <br />Mr. Jessup, and Mr. Peyton. <br />Noes: Nono-r <br />President <br />AN ORDI-MANCE AMENDING AND REENACTING SECTION 351 (1) (B) <br />OF THE CITY CODE OF 1932, ENTITLED 11GAS RATES - OPTIONAL11 <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that Section 351(1) <br />(B) of the City Code of 1932, be amended and reenacted so as to read as follows: <br />SEC. 351(1) C.
