AN ORDINANCE ADDING A NEIN SECTION TO THE CITY CODE OF 1932 <br />NUMBERED 326(a) AND ENTITLED "PARKING OF VEHICLES CONTAINING <br />LIVESTOCK". <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that a new section <br />be added to the City Code of 1932, numbered Section 326(a) to read as follows: <br />SEC. 326(a) PARKING OF VEHICLES CONTAINING LIVESTOCK. <br />It shall be unlawful to park any vehicle containing livestock, on <br />any street within any A Residence District or A-1 Residence District <br />within the City, as designated by the Zoning Ordinance, for more than <br />one-half hour. A vehicle shall be considered parked for one-half hour <br />if it is not moved at least one block within that period. Any person <br />violating this ordinance shall be fined not less than $2.50 and not more <br />than $10.00. <br />Adopted by the Council October 10, 1944 <br />Ayes: Mr. Adams, Mr. Gleason, Mr. Hildreth <br />and Mr. Morris. <br />Noes: None. - <br />rlPrk President <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF BONDS OF THE CITY OF <br />CHARLOTTESVILLE IN THE SUld OF $500,000.00 FOR THE PURt'OSE OF IMPROVEMENT <br />TO THE WATER SUP?LY OF SAID CITY. <br />VdHEREAS, it is deemed necessary and expedient that the City of Charlottesville <br />should issue and negotiate its bonds in order to raise money for the purpose of im)rov- <br />ing and increasing the water supply of said City; and <br />V�ZEREAS, the amount which it is estimated will be needed for the improvements <br />contemplated is $500,000.00; <br />NO['d TIiEREFOR.E, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, <br />' <br />Virginia; (All the members of said Council present constituting 4/5ths of the entire <br />membership); <br />(1) That the Cit,,, issue and negotiate its bonds aggregating $500,000.00 for <br />the purposes aforesaid, designated "Water Improvement Bonds, Series of 1945"- <br />(2) That said bonds shall be 500 in number, numbered 1 to 500 inclusive, in <br />the sum of $1,000.00 each, dated February 1, 1945, payable to bearer serially as <br />follows: Bonds aggregating X15,000.00 shall be payable annually on the 1st day of <br />February in each year from 1948 to 1957, both inclusive and bonds aggregating <br />$35,000.00 shall be payable annually on the lst day of February in each year from <br />1958 to 1967 both inclusive. <br />(3) That said bonds shall bear interest at a rate not exceeding two per centum <br />per annum, payable semi-annually, evidenced by interest coupons attached to said bonds. <br />(4) That the Iayor scall sign said bonds and affix thereto the seal of the City, <br />attested by the Clerk of the Council, and said bonds shall be countersigned by the <br />Treasurer L.nd that the coupons thereon be certified by the facsimile signature of the <br />Treasurer. <br />(5) That said bonds and the interest thereon shall be payable at the office of <br />' <br />the Treasurer of the City of Charlottesville. <br />(6) That it is determined that the City of Charlottesville will derive a revenue <br />from the proposed imurovements in said water supply, and that the said bonds will be <br />liquidated out of said revenues, and that said bonds will be issued, pursuant to the <br />provisions of Section 127(b) of the Constitution of Virginia, and that the full faith <br />and credit of the City shall to pledged to secure the payment of the principal and <br />interest of said bonds. <br />
