H. Kempp Jr., from State Fire Marshall Office, the Fire
Chief and City Manager met at the gas plant and after thoroughly
examining the plant the following recommendations are hereby submitted:
Report re: 1. That the Superintendent of the gas plant be instructed to see
Fire Inspection that water be kept at all times in the trough around the gas
at Gas Plant holders.
2. All dried weeds, grass and other inflammable rubbish be kept
from around all tanks.
11
That all oil or tar, or asphalt drained on ground be covered
with dirt or sand.
J+. That all waste oil or tar in plant be removed.
5. That the City incinerator be removed from the City Yard which
is in a congested area and one which contains much inflammable
material and supplies.
We believe that with the baffle walls which are now installed
in the incinerator, the fire hazard has been largely abated from
this plant.
6.
