Several citizens from Woodland Drive addressed the Council and objected to <br />Woodland Woodland Drive being connected as a through street. The Tdayor advised that the <br />Drive <br />Council had already taken action on this matter after very careful consideration, <br />and unless there was some motion to reopen the natter no further action could be <br />proviso that the Child Guidance Clinic will make all necessary repairs or alterations <br />needed for their own use, and agree to pay their proportionate part of the expenses <br />for janitor, lights, heat and water. <br />On motion by Mr. Nash, seconded by Mr. Watson, the following resolution was <br />unanimously adopted: <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that <br />Mrs. the sum of X29.00 be and the same is hereby appropriated to be paid to <br />.Alice V. <br />Clarity Alice V. Clarity for full settlement and discharge of any and all claim$ <br />which she may have against the City for damages resulting from a fall <br />suffered by her on May 7, 19Y+7. It being understood trzat this payment is <br />made without admission of any liability to Mrs. Clarity or the admission <br />of the existance of any dangerous condition. <br />On motion by P11r. Tebell, seconded by �,ar. 11Jatson, the following resolution <br />was unanimously adopted: <br />Right of Way BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that <br />Cherry Ave. <br />$50.00 be and the same is hereby appropriated to Nita 11orrell Johnson for <br />right of way on Cherry Avenue in accordance with resolution adopted by the <br />Council on February 15, 1943 (See Minute Book H, page 269) . <br />County <br />taken. <br />Bridge - <br />A communication from the Southern Railway Company in regard to all overhead <br />Binglerts <br />Crossing <br />bridge near Binglerts Crossing was presented and carried over to the next meeting <br />Conn. <br />for further consideration. <br />Firements <br />The resolution appropriating 412000.00 for the Firemenst Convention, which <br />Convention <br />fee not required) . <br />was offered at the last regular meeting, was adopted by the following recorded <br />vote. Ayes: ;fir. Adams, Mr. Nash, '11r. Tebell and 71r. Nash. Noes: None. <br />Architect <br />The resolution appropriating $3,600.00 for architectts fees for preliminary <br />Fees - Joint <br />curb and gutter applications <br />Col. High <br />plans for the joint city -county colored high school, which was offered at the last <br />School <br />Estimated <br />regular meeting, was adopted by the following recorded vote. Ayes: Mr. Adams, Mr. <br />Nash, Mr. Tebell, and Mr. Watson. Noes: None. <br />Cost <br />A motion by .Zr. Tebell, seconded by nffr.
