September 18, 19,47 <br />To the Members of the City Council • <br />Charlottesville, Virginia <br />Gentlemen: <br />As requested at your last meeting, we have investigated <br />Right -of -Way the advisability of connecting John and Page Streets, C}nd it is <br />John & Page our recommendation that the right-of-way for this be secured <br />Streets before any building is done on this property; and that we will <br />offer the owner one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) for a fifty <br />(50) foot right-of-way as shown on the attached drawing. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Seth Burnleysigned <br />Fred L. Nash (signed) <br />On motion by Mr. Nash, seconded by Mr. Tebell, the following report was <br />unanimously adopted: <br />September 18, 19,47 <br />To the Members of the City Council <br />Chad ottesville, Virginia <br />7th Street Gentlemen: <br />Widening <br />As requested, the Engineering Department has made an <br />estimate for widening Seventh Street between Market and High <br />Streets; and report that this will cost approximately $2,082.00. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Seth Burnley (signed) <br />SB:gbh City Manager <br />On motion communications from the Junior Chamber of Commerce and the <br />ttRock University League in regard to the purchase of "Rock Hilltt by the City were <br />Hilltt <br />referred to Mr. Tebell for investigation and report. <br />On motion by Mr. Nash, seconded by Mr. Tebell, the following resolution <br />was unanimously adopted: <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that <br />Ware St. <br />Property the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to execute deed to Frank Ix & <br />Sons, Inc., in consideration of $300.00 conveying small parcel of land on <br />Ware Street as described by plat prepared by Engineering Dept. <br />L1 <br />The City Treasurer submitted his list <br />of 1916 Delinquent and Erroneous <br />40 <br />Delinquent & <br />Erroneous <br />Taxes. On motion this matter was referred <br />to the Chairman of the Finance <br />Tax Lists <br />Committee, the Director of Finance, and the <br />Commissioner of Revenue for <br />investigation and report. <br />Joint Health <br />A motion by Mr. Tebell, seconded by Mr. <br />N ash, that the Joint Health Depart - <br />Dept. Committee <br />went committee be enlarged so as to include <br />one member of the Council, was un- <br />animously adopted.
