To the Members of the City Council
nark Lane & C-larlottesville, Virginia
Woodland
Drive Gentlemen:
Your committee has investigated the petitions
of the residents of Park Lane and Woodland Drive and we find
that those living on the north end of Woodland Drive are very
much opposed to this street being connected as they feel that
a dead end street is much safer. The residents, however, of the
south end are very much in favor of having this street connected
as it is very inconvenient to them or any service trucks using
this street.
It is our recommendation, therefore, that if the
proper right-of-way can be secured that this street be made con-
tinuous between Park Lane and Cleveland Avenue.
In respect to Park Lane, this is only approximately
thirty (30) feet in width and we recommend thEt, before it is taken
over by the City, an additional width of ten (10) feet be secured.
Respectfully submitted,
