J <br />FORBES, READ, AND UPON THE RULES BEING SUSPENDED AS TO THE SECOND READING BY <br />A UNANIMOUS RECORDED VOTE, WAS ADOPTED BY THE FOLLOWING RECORDED VOTE: AYES: <br />MR. DAVIS, MR. FORBES, MR. HILL, MR. TEBELL AND MR. WEINBERG. NOES: NONE. • <br />WHEREUPON THE MAYOR. DECLARED SAID ORDINANCE DULY ADOPTED, MORE THAN A <br />THREE-FOURTHS MAJORITY OF ALL MEMBERS ELECTED TO THE COUNCIL HAVING VOTED <br />IN FAVOR THEREOF, AND HE THEN AND THERE APPROVED SAID ORDINANCE. <br />ON MOTION BY MR. DAVIS, SECONDED BY MR. FORBES, THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION <br />WAS UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED: <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, <br />THAT THE ANNEXED ORDINANCE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING --------- <br />RESOLUTION RE: -- --------------� A CORPORATION ORGANIZED AND EXISTING UNDER THE LAWS <br />COMMUNITY TELEVISION OF THE STATE OF Y____., AND HAVING ITS PRINCIPAL PLACE <br />ANTENNA SYSTEM <br />FRANCHISE OF BUSINESS IN ---------- ITS SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS, <br />THE RIGHT AND PRIVILEGE OF ERECTING AND MAINTAINING WIRE, CABLES, <br />AMPLIFIERS AND OTHER. APPLIANCES OR EQUIPMENT OVER, UNDER AND ALONG THE • <br />STREETS, ALLEYS AND PUBLIC PLACES FOR THE PURPOSE OF OPERATING A <br />COMMUNITY TELEVISION ANTENNA SYSTEM FOR THE USE OF RESIDENTS AND <br />CITIZENS OF THE CITY -OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, AND IN SO OPERATING TO <br />USE THE PROPERTY OF OTHER HOLDERS OF FRANCHISES, AS MAY BE AGREED <br />UPON", BE ADVERTISED ONCE A WEEK FOR FOUR SUCCESSIVE WEEKS IN THE <br />DAILY PROGRESS, A NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED IN THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, <br />CITY <br />VIRGINIA; AND HAVING A GENERAL CIRCULATION IN SAID; AND THAT SAID <br />ADVERTISEMENT SHALL INVITE BIDS FOR THE FRANCHISE PROPOSED TO BE <br />GRANTED IN SAID ORDINANCE, WHICH BIDS ARE TO BE IN WRITING AND <br />DELIVERED TO THE PRESIDING OFFICER OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />CHARLOTTESVILLE, VIRGINIA ON THE 6TH DAY OF APRIL, 1953, AT 3 00 <br />CLOCK P. M., THE RIGHT BEING RESERVED TO REJECT ANY AND ALL BIDS. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT THE INVITATION FOR BIDS IS TO BE <br />PUBLISHED WITH SAID ORDINANCE AND SHALL BE AS FOLLOWS: <br />THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, VIRGINIA, HEREBY INVITES <br />BIDS FOR A COMMUNITY TELEVISION ANTENNA FRANCHISE PROPOSED <br />TO BE GRANTED IN THE FOLLOWING ORDINANCE DULY PASSED BY THE <br />COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, VIRGINIA ON THE <br />SECOND DAY OF <br />MARCH, <br />19539 <br />WHICH BIDS ARE TO <br />BE IN WRITING <br />• <br />AND DELIVERED <br />TO THE <br />PRESIDING <br />OFFICER OF THE <br />COUNCIL OF <br />CARRIED OVER <br />SAID CITY IN <br />OPEN SESSION, <br />TO BE HELD IN THE <br />COUNCIL <br />ON MOTION A COMMUNICATION REQUESTING <br />CHAMBER IN SAID <br />CITY <br />ON THE <br />6TH DAY OF APRIL, <br />1953, AT <br />3 O'CLOCK P. <br />M., THE <br />RIGHT <br />BEING RESERVED TO <br />REJECT ANY <br />STUDY AND RECOMMENDATION, <br />OR ALL BIDS* <br />THE RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING $10,000.00 FOR ADDITIONS AND RENOVATIONS <br />APPROPRIATION RESOLUTION <br />TO CITY HALL, WHICH WAS PRESENTED AT THE <br />LAST REGULAR MEETING, WAS AGAIN <br />FOR ADDITIONS TO CITY HALL <br />CARRIED OVER <br />PRESENTED AND ON MOTION WAS CARRIED OVER <br />TO THE NEXT REGULAR MEETING. <br />ON MOTION A COMMUNICATION REQUESTING <br />THE ACCEPTANCE OF AZELEA DRIVE <br />MATTER RE: AZELEA DR. <br />INTO THE CITY STREET SYSTEM WAS REFERRED <br />TO THE STREET COMMITTEE FOR <br />REFERRED TO STREET COMMITTEE <br />STUDY AND RECOMMENDATION, <br />A COMMUNICATION WAS PRESENTED FROM <br />THE BUILDING INSPECTOR WHICH <br />COMMUNICATION RE: ORDINANCE <br />• <br />GOVERNING BULK STORAGE <br />STATED THAT THE ORDINANCE GOVERNING THE <br />BULK STORAGE OF INFLAMMABLE <br />INFLAMMABLE LIQUIDS <br />LIQUIDS WAS NOT BROAD ENOUGH IN TEXT TO <br />PERMIT PROPER ENFORCEMENT, AND <br />
