THAT A STUDY BE MADE TO CLARIFY THE SAME, A MOTION BY MR. FORBES, <br />SECONDED BY MR. WEINBERG, THAT THE MAYOR APPOINT A COMMITTEE TO STUDY THIS <br />MATTER AND REPORT BACK TO THE COUNCIL, WAS UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED. THE MAYOR <br />APPOINTED MR. DAVIS, MR.WEINBERG AND THE CITY MANAGER AS MEMBERS OF THE <br />COMMITTEE, <br />A COMMUNICATION FROM THE RABBIT BREEDERS ASSOCIATION WITH RESPECT TO <br />CLAIMS PAID ON RABBITS DESTROYED BY DOGS WAS PRESENTED. AFTER CONSIDERABLE <br />DISCUSSION, IT WAS THE SENSE OF THE COUNCIL THAT THE MANNER OF DETERMINING <br />THE VALUE OF RABBITS DESTROYED BY DOGS BE STUDIED, AND THE CLERK WAS <br />REQUESTED TO ADVISE THE RABBIT BREEDERS ASSOCIATION THAT UNTIL SUCH TIME AS <br />A DECISION IS MADEV THE USUAL POLICY OF THE LOUNCIL TO PAY MEAT VALUE WILL <br />BE FOLLOWED. <br />A MOTION BY MR. TEBELL. SECONDED BY MR. FORBES, THAT THE CITY MANAGER <br />BE AUTHORIZED TO OFFER P. K. MASSEY $149000.100 FOR PROPERTY LOCATED ON SECOND <br />STREET, S. W. AND TO PURCHASE THE SAME IF ACCEPTED9 AND IF NOT ACCEPTED THE <br />CITY ATTORNEY BE INSTRUCTED TO ACQUIRE THE PROPERTY BY EMINENT DOMAIN FOR THE <br />PUBLIC USE OF A PARKING LOT, WAS UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED. <br />ON MOTION BY MR.TEBELL, SECONDED BY MR. W. <br />3, LICENSE TAX ORDINANCE. <br />BY ORDER OF <br />CLERK PRESIDENT <br />A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL WAS HELD ON THIS DATE WITH THE FOLLOWING <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: MR. DAVIS, MR. FORBES, MR. HILL, MR. TEBELL AND MR. WEINBERG. <br />ABSENT: NONE. <br />THE COMMITTEE ON THE EXTENSION OF HARRIS STREET REPORTED THAT THEY HAD <br />CONFERRED WITH THE OFFICIALS OF THE ALLIED SUPPLY COMPANY AND THAT ALLIED WAS <br />WILLING IN ADDITION TO DONATING THE SIXTY FOOT (60') RIGHT OF WAY FROM THE <br />END OF HARRIS STREET TO THE CITY'S PROPERTY ON MCINTIRE kOAD, AND TO THE <br />RELEASING OF ANY RIGHT OF WAY EASEMENTS THEY NOW HOLD FROM THEIR PROPERTY TO <br />MCINTIRE ROAD, TO EXTEND THE EXISTING BOX CULVERT WESTWARD APPROXIMATELY ONE <br />
