THE COST OF THIS CULVERT AS ESTIMATED BY THE <br />CITY TO BE APPROXIMATELY FOUR THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS ($4,400.00)• <br />THE COMMITTEE RECOMMENDED THAT AS SOON AS THE ALLIED SUPPLY COMPANY HAD <br />EXECUTED DEED TO RIGHT OF WAY AND RELEASE OF EASEMENTS, AND HAD EXTENDED THE <br />CULVERT AS REQUIRED, THAT THE CITY MANAGER BE AUTHORIZED TO EXTEND HARRIS <br />STREET TO CONNECT WITH 14CINTIRE ROAD JUST NORTH OF SCHENK'S BRANCH AT A COST <br />OF APPROXIMATELY EIGHTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($18,000.00). <br />ON MOTION BY MR. FORBES, SECONDED BY MR. TEBELL, THE FOREGOING <br />RECOMMENDATION WAS UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED, <br />THE RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING $149000.00 FOR THE PURCHASE OF THE P. K. <br />MASSEY PROPERTY ON SECOND STREET, S.W, WHICH WAS OFFERED AT THE LAST REGULAR <br />MEETING, WAS ADOPTED BY THE. FOLLOWING RECORDED VOTE: AYES: MR. DAVIS, MR. <br />FORBES, MR. HILL, MR. LANG ADDRESSED THE COUNCIL WITH RESPECT TO DRAINAGE OF SURFACE <br />WATER ACROSS LOTS NUMBERS 13 AND 14 ON BLENHEIM AVENUE. AFTER DUE DISCUSSION <br />IT WAS THE SENSE OF THE COUNCIL THAT NO ACTION BE TAKEN ON THIS MATTER UNTIL <br />THE SITE WAS LOOKED AT BY THE COUNCIL MEMBERS. <br />MR. LINDSAY MOUNT, OF THE .JUNIOR CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, ADDRESSED THE COUNCIL <br />AND REQUESTED WAIVER OF LICENSE TAX ON PROCEEDS DERIVED FROM THE SALE OF BROOMS <br />DURING THE ANNUAL BROOM SALE OF THAT ORGANIZATION. A MOTION BY MR. TEBELL, <br />SECONDED BY MR. FORBES, THAT THE ANNUAL BROOM SALE SPONSORED BY THE .JUNIOR <br />CHAMBER OF COMMERCE BE CLASSIFIED AS OF A NONPROFIT NATURE IN ACCORDANCE WITH <br />SECTION 86(D) OF THE LICENSE TAX ORDINANCE WAS UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED. <br />ON MOTION THE FOLLOWING COUNTY WATER CONNECTIONS WERE APPROVED: <br />.JAMES E.
