SEC. 6,—Plumbers responsible for injury to Public Sew- <br />er or Streets. The licensed plumber who connects any <br />private drain with the public sewer shall be held respon- <br />sible for any injury lie may cause to the sewer or public <br />streets. He shall restore the street to its former condi- <br />tion to the satisfaction of the street Coin missioner. <br />SEC. 7.—General Prohibitions. No person or corpora- <br />tion shall injure, break or remove arty portion of a man- <br />hole, lamp-hole, flush-tank or any part of the public <br />sewers. <br />SEC. 8.—No unauthorized person shall remove the <br />cover of any man hole, lamp-hole, flush tank or anything <br />opening into a sewer or drain. <br />SEC. 9.—The City Engineer shall have power to stop <br />anel prevent from discharging into the public sewers any <br />private draiti through which substances are discharged <br />that are liable to injure the sewer or to obstruct the how <br />of sewage. <br />SEC. to—Penalties. Any person or corporation offend <br />ing against any of the sections of this chapter shall be <br />subject to a fine of not less than two nor more than <br />twenty dollars for each and every offence, except hereto. <br />fore and hereinafter provided. <br />SEC. t t.---The drainage of all buildings, public and <br />private, and the alteration to the same, shall be executed <br />in accordance with plans and specifications previously <br />approved in writing by the City Engineer, who will <br />grant a regular permit for carrying on the work and no <br />plumbing or house drainage shall be proceeded with hit- <br />less the permit is in the hands of the men doing the <br />work. <br />SNC. 12.—There shall be a sef.arate plan for each <br />building, public or private, or any addition or alteration <br />thereof, accompanied by the specifications and descrip <br />tion of all plumbing and house drainage of said building <br />or buildings, prescribed and furnished for this purpose. <br />showing the location, size and kind of pipe, the material <br />to be used, traps, closets and fixtures ; the said plans after <br />approved by the City Engineer to be placed on file in <br />the office of the Sup't of Sewers ; said drawings, plans, <br />specifications and descriptions to be furnished by the <br />architect, builder or agent, where one is employed, oth- <br />erwise by the owner or reputed owner.
