PdgSOLUTiON: <br /> <br />Special Permit for Child Care Center at Wesley <br />Church <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church has requested a <br />special use permit to allow operation ora child care center at 1901 Thomson Road for up <br />to forty-eight (48) children; this property being further identified as Parcels 1, 2 and 23 <br />on City Real Property Tax Map 12, having, collectively, approximately 272 feet of <br />frontage on Thomson Road, 320 feet of frontage on Emmet Street, 172 feet of frontage <br />on Lewis Mountain Road and containing approximately 73,180 square feet of land or <br />1.68 acres; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, following a joint public hearing before this Council and the <br />Planning Commission, duly advertised and held on April 10, 2001, this Council finds that <br />such use will conform to the criteria applicable to special permits generally under <br />Chapter 34 of the City Code; now, therefore <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia that a <br />special use permit is hereby approved and granted to Wesley Memorial United Methodist <br />Church, owner of the property at 1901 Thomson Road, to allow operation ora child care <br />center for up to forty-eight (48) children. Other communities in Virginia were surveyed <br />regarding their fines and the average of these fines was recommended.
