151 <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, that <br />the sum of $231,817.37 be appropriated from account 24-181-081033-43308 to account <br />24-181-081033-50111 for the purpose of funding School capital improvement projects. <br /> <br />e. APPROPRIATION: <br /> <br />$68,000 - Lease for 407 E. High Street Building <br />(2ad reading) <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, <br />that the sum of $48,000.00 is hereby appropriated from the unexpended balance of <br />the General Fund to expenditure account 05-250-032030-54104 for the purpose of <br />leasing the property at 407 East High Street as additional space for Juvenile & <br />Domestic Relations Court personnel. This appropriation is conditioned upon <br />receipt of $24,000.00 from the County of Albemarle as their 50% share of the <br />annual rent for the property. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sum of $20,000 is hereby <br />appropriated from the unexpended balance of the General Fund to expenditure <br />account 07-183-032065 to pay the cost of renovations to the building. This <br />appropriation is conditioned upon the receipt of up to $10,000 from the County of <br />Albemarle as their 50% share of the costs of renovations. <br /> <br />f. APPROPRIATION: <br /> <br />$50,574 - Transfer of Community Assistance <br />Program Funds to WorkSource Enterprises <br />(carried over) <br /> <br />g. APPROPRIATION: <br /> <br />$5,000 - Virginia Commission of the Arts <br />Challenge Grant (for Piedmont Council of the Arts <br />and Virginia Discovery Museum) (carried over) <br /> <br />h. APPROPRIATION: <br /> <br />$68,222 - Local Law Enforcement Block Grant <br />(carried over) <br /> <br />i. RESOLUTION: <br /> <br />Renewing Consortium HOME Cooperation <br />Agreement <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there exists a continuing need to provide affordable housing <br />oppommities for low and moderate income citizens; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the HOME Investment Partnership Program provides fmancial <br />assistance to the members of the Thomas Jefferson HOME Consortium in support of <br />these affordable housing oppommities; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Thomas Jefferson HOME Consortium has successfully provided <br />affordable housing opportunities for low and moderate income citizens since its inception <br />in 1992; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, continued participation in the Thomas Jefferson HOME Consortium <br />will increase affordable housing opportunities for low and moderate income citizens; <br /> <br /> THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Charlottesville City Council does <br />hereby support continued participation in the Thomas Jefferson HOME Consortium and <br />authorizing the City Manager to sign the Cooperation Agreement for the period October <br />1, 2001 through September 30, 2004. <br /> <br />j. RESOLUTION: <br /> <br />Special Permit for Temporary Child Care Center at <br />Belmont Baptist Church <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Belmont Baptist Church, on behalf of First United Methodist <br />Church Preschool, has requested a special use permit to allow operation of a private <br />preschool at 830 MontiCello Road for up to thirty (30) children.
