Market rate housing benchmarks and goals: resources, progress and quality <br /> <br />Council reviewed the City Manager's workplan and suggested additions. <br /> <br /> Council reviewed the City Manager's stretch goals and made the following <br />suggestions: receive private grant funds for Jefferson school: obtain $5 million in grant <br />money annually city wide; secure a boundary adjustment on the south side of the City; <br />achieve a major new consolidation of service with Albemarle County; target bike lanes <br />and pedestrian amenities. <br /> <br />Mr. Toscano questioned how the stretch goals get operationalized. <br /> <br /> Council suggested that the City Manager's further explore the following stretch <br />goals: obtaining grants; major coordination or consolidation with Albemarle County; and <br />a conference center. <br /> <br /> On motion by Ms. Richards, seconded by Mr. Toscano, Council voted to meet in <br />closed session for the purpose of discussion of the annual performance evaluation of the <br />City Manager, as authorized by Section 2.2-3711(A)(1) of the Virginia Code, and for the <br />purpose of discussion of the acquisition of real property located on 4th Street, N.W., <br /> <br /> <br />
