Service Program Grant [ reaamg) WHEREAS, the U. S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has established the Summer Food Service Program to bring about an increased awareness of the critical importance of proper nutrition for children and a belief that school vacation should not end the availability of nutritious meals for many children; and WHEREAS, the City of Charlottesville shares the same concerns as USDA; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, that a Summer Food Service Program be established as part of the City of Charlottesville's Summer Recreation Programs and $50,000 is hereby appropriated fi:om the unappropriated balance of the General Fund to account code 11-042-062028-52125 in the Grants Fund for the purpose of carrying out this progratr~ Such appropriation shall be conditioned upon substantial reimbursement to the General Fund by USDA. d. [ reaamg) BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, that the sum of $2,500 fi:om a gram fi:om Albemarle County is hereby appropriated to account 05-301-071021-50111 in the general fund for the purpose of funding the next Lewis and Clark Festival to be held in May 2002. BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, that the sum of $1,279 fi:om vendor receipts collected during the first Lewis and Clark Festival is hereby appropriated to account 05-301-071021-50111 in the general fund for the purpose of funding the next Lewis and Clark Festival to be held in May 2002. e. APPROPRIATION: $500,000 - Grant for Dovmtown Recreation Center Renovations (2~a reading) BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, that $500,000 is hereby appropriated fi:om an Urban park and Recreation Recovery (UPARR) grant to account 26-181-073134-50111 to be used toward the renovation of the Downtown Recreation Center.
