RESOLUTION: <br />ANNUAL <br />APPROPRIATION <br /> <br />be kept cloaed and tc.~'~21 ne.t ~e n~i as a meanm.~f' ~cce~ t~ it.~ Yard <br />except in emergency §'ituations or during periods when the orincipal <br />access to the Yard from 4th Street, N.W. is unavailable on account of <br />construction or other temporary conditions. <br /> <br /> On motion by Dr. Hall, seconded by Mrs. Gleason, the following <br />resolution was offered and carried over to the nex~ meeting for con- <br /> <br />sideration: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION <br /> ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR THE <br /> CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE <br /> FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 1983 <br />AND ENDING JUNE 30, 1984 ~ND PROVIDING FOR THE <br />ANNUAL APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS FOR SUCH FISCAL YEAR <br /> <br />ADOPTION OF BUDGET <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 1S of the City Charter and Section iS. <br />1-160 of the Code of Virginia, the City Manager has caused to be prepared <br />and presented to City Council a proposed budget for the fiscal year beginning <br />July 1, 1983 and ending June 30, 1984; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a synopsis of such proposed budget, including the amounts to <br />be received and expended as federal general revenue sharing, has been <br />published in the Daily Progress, a newspaper of general circulation in the <br />City, and notice duly given in such newspaper and a public hearing held. <br />thereon on March 14, 1983, and the estimates of revenues and expenditures <br />therein debated and adjusted by City Council in open public meetings, all <br />as required by the City Charter Section 13.1-162 of the Code of Virginia, <br />and federal regulations applicable to general revenue sharing expenditures; <br />now therefore, be it <br /> <br /> RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that such <br />document and the estimates and revenues and expenditures therein proposed <br />by the City Manager and debated and adjusted by the City Council, are hereby <br />adopted as the Annual Budget 6f the City of CHarlottesville, for informative <br />and fiscal planning purposes only, for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1983, <br />and ending June 30, 1984; and that a true and correct copy of the same, as <br />adopted, shall be kept on file in the records of the Clerk of the Council. <br /> <br />II.
