Regular meeting <br /> <br />Approval of minutes <br /> <br />Public Hearing re: <br />Appropriation Ordinance <br />for Police Department <br /> <br />Resolution re: <br />Appropriation ~ $20,590 <br />Additional pOlice <br />Personnel <br /> <br /> COUNCIL CHAM~ER - TUESDAY, JANUARY 20, 1976 <br /> <br /> The Council met in regular session on this date with the <br />following members present: Mr. Barbour, Mr. Fife, Mr. Gilliam, <br />Mr.s. Rinehart and Mr. Van Yahres. Absent: None. <br /> <br /> The minutes of the meeting of January 5, 1976 were <br />approved as presented. <br /> <br /> A public hearing was held on this date on the Citizens <br />Task Force on Crime Report regarding additional personnel <br />in the police department. Police Cheif Deke Bowen <br />briefly summarized the task force recommendation for ten <br /> <br />additional officers, which he fee <br />three for the investigation div±s <br />division, three,~school resource o <br />patrol division for possible assi <br />Shopping Center. Mr. Graham Beck <br />and stated his objection to offic~ <br />schools. He stated he did not ob <br />increase in the police force if a <br />regular police duties. He stated <br />to the police budget he suggested <br />Budget for these personnel.
