HAGGERTY, <br />THE REPORT WAS ACCEPTED. <br /> <br /> A COMMUNICATION WAS PRESENTED FROM THE SCHOOL BOARD REQUESTING AN APPROPRIATION <br />OF CASH sUrPlUS FOR AN ADJUSTMENT TO THE 1966-67 SCHOOL BUDGET. ONMOTION BY MR. <br />MOUNT~ SECONDED BY MR. HAGGERTY] THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION WAS OFFERED AND CARRIED <br />OVER TO THE NEXT MEETING FOR CONSIDERAT. MITCHELL VAN YAHRES TO THE RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD, <br /> <br /> MR. VOGT REQUESTED THAT CONSIDERATION BE GIVEN TO A REQUEST FOR A SIDEWALK ON <br />BARRACKS ROAD FROM RUGBY ROAD TO EMMET STREET AND ON 13TH STREET FROM GORDON TO <br />GRADY AVENUE. THIS WAS REFERRED TO THE STREET COMMITTEE FOR RECOMMENDATION. <br /> <br /> MR. JOHNSON REQUESTED THAT A COMMITTEE~ COMPOSED OF A REPRESENTATIVE FROM COUNCIL, <br />THE CITY ATTORNEY AND A REPRESENTATIVE FROM THE SCHOOL BOARD~ BE APPOINTED TO DISCUSS <br />WITH MR. GRAVES THE SAFETY MEASURES IN EFFECT ON THE CITY SCHOOL BUSES. THE MAYOR <br />APPOINTED MR. JOHNSON~ MR. BOWEN AND MR. SUMMERS TO THIS COMMITTEE WITH A MEMBER OF <br />THE SCHOOL BOARD TO BE DESIGNATED BY THE CHAIRMAN. <br /> <br />MR. VOGT ALSO REQUESTED A REPORT ON THE STATUS OF VARIOUS CAPITAL OUTLAY PROGRAMS. <br />DR. CHARLES W. HURT AND MR, DAVID WOOD ADDRESSED THE COUNCIL REQUESTING AN <br />AMENDMENT TO THE COUNTY WATER CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY AND S-SQUARE CORPORATION TO <br />PERMIT A YMCA IN THE QUEEN CHARLOTTE SUBDI-VISION, AFTER DISCUSSION~ THEY AGREED TO <br />RETURN AT A FUTURE MEETING WITH A SPECIFIC PROPOSAL. <br /> <br /> THERE WAS A DISCUSSION OF THE DIFFICULTIES ENCOUNTERED IN THE BROADCAST OF COUNCI'L <br />MEETINGS. A MOTION BY MR. JOHNSON~ SECONDED BY MR. VOG?~ THAT THE MAYOR CONFER WITH <br />THE OFFICIALS OF RADIO STATION'WCHV ON THE PROBLEMS THUS FAR ENCOUNTERED, AND REPORT~ <br />WAS ADOPTED BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: AYES: MR, JOHNSON, MR.
