Absent: None. Minutes of the Meetings of June 13, 1960 and June 15, 1960 were read and approved. The adjourned public hearing on proposed amendments to the Zoning Adjourned Public Hearing re: Proposed Amendments to Zoning Ordinance Ordinance was held on this date. No one appeared for or against these proposals. A communication was presented from the Planning Commission recommending that the proposed amendments not be adopted. On motion by Mr. Scribner, seconded by Mr. Davis, the foregoing report was unanimously adopted. An ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND REENACTING PARAGRAPH Ordinance defeated re: Boarding Houses 6 OF SECTION 2 OF ARTICLE II OF APPENDIX II OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1959, ENTITLED'BOARDING HOUSES" which was offered at the meeting of the Council on April 25, 1960 was defeated by the following recorded vote: Ayes: Mr. Michie. Nues: Mr. Coleman, Mr. Davis, Mr. Scribner, and Mr. Weinberg. An ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND REENACTING PARAGRAPH Ordinance defeated re: Roaming House 40 OF SECTION 2 OF ARTICLE II OF APPENDIX II OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1959 ENTITLED'ROOMING HOUSE" which was offered at the meeting of the Council on April 25, 1960 was defeated by the following recorded vote. Ayes: Mr. Michie. Noes: Mr. Coleman, Mr. Davis, Mr. Scribner, and Mr. Weinberg. An ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND REENACTING SECTION 9 Ordinance defeated re: Use Regulations OF ARTICLE IV OF APPENDIX II OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1959 ENTITLED'USE REGULATIONS' BY THE ADDITION THERETO OF A NEW PARAGRAPH NUMBERED i0" which was offered at the meeting of the Council on April 25, 1960 was defeated by the following recorded vote. Ayes: Mr. Michie. Noes: Mr. Coleman, Mr. Davis, Mr. Scribner, and Mr. Weinberg. On motion by Mr. Scribner, seconded by Mr. Coleman, Mr. John L. Hammond Members appointed School Board was appointed to the School Board for a three year term, and Mr. E. V. Thacker, Jr. and Mr. P. A. Wallenborn were reappointed for three year terms expiring June 30, 1963, by unanimous vote.
