AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND RE-ENACTING SECTION 176 OF THE CITY CODE: VIZ. <br /> <br />SEC. 176. BICYCLES AND AUTOMOBILES. <br /> <br />No bicycle or similar machine shall be used over the sidewalks of the city; and <br /> <br />automobile, bicyle, or similar machine shall be used over the streets of the city at __ <br /> <br />of speed under this maximum which the conditions in the streets would make unsafe. <br /> <br />Beery such vehicle shall be provided with a bell, gong, or horn of the usual type <br /> <br />which shall be sounded at street crossings,and whenever necessary to the safety of <br /> <br />person using the str.eets,but at no other times; and no such vehicle shall be used __ <br /> <br />streets of the city after nightfall without a headlight or lantern of such nature <br /> <br />placed as to -be conspicuously visable at the distance of a block. <br /> <br />Any violation of any provision of this section,as far as relates to automobile <br /> <br />shall be punished by a fine of not less than $10 nor more than $100. , and as far as <br /> <br />relates to other machines, by a fine of not less than $5 nor more than $25., or, on any <br /> <br />by imprisonment in the city jail for not more than 30 days,or both by fine and <br /> <br />imprisonment, as herein provideds <br /> <br />This ordinance shall be in force from its passage. <br /> <br />Adopted Council November 10,1910. UNLAWFUL SALE OF LIQUOR--INFOMIATION CONCERNING. <br /> <br />Unlawful sale Any person,other than a member of the police force or a city officer, who may <br /> <br />furnish to the police department such information as will lead to a conviction for <br /> <br />the unlawful sale of wine,spirituous or malt liquors in this city, shall be entitled <br /> <br />to and receive one-half of the fine imposed on the person found guilty, provided, <br /> <br />informer makes written claim to the Police Justice for suh part of the fine at the <br /> <br />time the warrant or process is issued.
