99 a AN ORDIILUCE AMENDING AND RE-ENACTING SECTION 176 OF THE CITY CODS:VIZ. SEC. 176. BICYCLES AND AUTOMOBILES. No bicycle or similar machine shall be used over the sidewalks of the city; �r Regulating speed of automobile,bicycle,or similar machine shall be used over the streets of the city 0 Automobiles, Bicycles Etc. greater rate of speed than fifteen miles an hour under any condition,nor at any r4ti fi4it C44Z d4l of speed under this maximum which the conditions in the streets would make uneatl, Beery such vehicle shall be provided with a bell,gong,or horn of the usual tl,, which shall be sounded at street crossings,and whenever necessary to the safety of person using the str.eets,but at no other times; and no such vehicle shall be url, streets of the city after nightfall without a headlight or lantern of such nature placed as to -be conspicuously visable at the distance of a block. Any violation of any provision of this section,as far as relates to automobile1,'F shall be punished by a fine of not less than $10. no r mo re than $100. , and as far ut relates to other machines,by a fine of not less than $5* nor more than $25. ,or,h q . by imprisonment in the city jail for not more than 30 days,or both by fine and K imprisonment, as herein provideds his ordinance shall be in force from its passage.
