<br />($1,000) notes, as above went coned, payable to the order of Sinkinc Fund Commission of
<br />tre City of Charlottesville, Virginia: Thirty three (SS) One Thousand nollar ($1,000
<br />notes as above mentioned, payable to tr a order of the Peoples �Iat ional Tank of Char.

<br />& Merchants National ?3ank, Crarlottesville, Virginia; provided, r.owever, that tre lawful
<br />constituted authorities of said City shall have the rip;'�^t to take up said notes or
<br />any one or all of them at My interest period, raving previously Piven to the Polders
<br />thereof 30 days notice of said Cit�118 intention to take up such note or notes.
<br />And be it further ordained that the s aid finance conni ttee be, and Inereby is,
<br />autllo rimed and instructed, after having borrowed the money aforesaid upon such said
<br />rotes, to deposit said money aforesaid in each of t1^e said hanks in proportion to the
<br />amount borrowed from each of said banks; and the said finance cornmi ttee is hereby
<br />aut'llorized to withdraw said money from said banks for the purpose of p,urcrasinp material
<br />and equipment and ofm&king necessary payments under the 6 aid contract wit'! the said
<br />We P. Thurston Co. , as the constn;ction progresses;provided however the s --aid money
<br />shall 'be withdrawn from said banks by the s• -aid finance committee in sums prorortionate
<br />to the amount of the deposits heretofore referred to; and, prodded further, teat none

<br />cut except in strict conformity i.o the terrr.s of thre advertisement of the lettinr, of
<br />said work, and thre pror►osal. of said contractor and tie contract pursuant hereto between
