Center which was <br /> <br />offered at the July t6th meeting was approved by the following vote. Ayes: <br /> <br />Mr. Barnes, Mrs. Gleason, Dr. Gunter, Dr. Hall. Noes: None. Absent: <br /> <br />Mr. Buck. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia <br />that $54,320 is hereby appropriated from the grants fund to expenditure <br />account number 01-12130 for operation of a Youth Service Center during <br />the 1984-85 fiscal year. Such center shall be operated by the Central <br />Virginia Child Development Association under contract with the City. Such <br />approp.riation shall be conditioned upon receipt of $40,740 from the <br />Virginia Department of Corrections grant number 84-tI~t, $3,5.80 in matching <br />funds .from Outreach Counseling Services, Inc., and $10,000 to be transferred <br />from City general fund account 01-42210, previously appropriated for such <br />purpose. <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION: <br />$ oo,ooo - <br />CHARTER HOUSE <br />(2nd reading) <br /> <br /> Mr. Barnes stated that he hoped Charter House would continue to solicit <br />private funds. <br /> <br /> The appropriation of $100,000 for Charter House which was offered at <br /> <br />the July 16th meeting was approved by the following vote. Ayes: Mr. Barnes, <br /> <br />Mrs. Gleason, Dr. Gunter, Dr. Hall. Noes: None. AbSent: Mr. Buck. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, <br />Virginia that the sum of $100,000 is hereby appropriated from the grants <br />fund to expenditure account number 11-12250 for operation of Charter House, <br />a home for homeless alcoholics, during the 1984-1985 fiscal year. Such <br />home shall be operated by the Region Ten Community Services Board, Division <br />of Alcohol and Substance Abuse under:contract with the City. Such <br />appropriation shall be conditioned upon receipt by the grants fund of <br />$85,000 from Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services grant number <br />85-A6248, and of $15,000 to be transferred from the City's general fund, <br />account 01-42190-5405, previously appropriated. <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION: The appropriation of $20,000 for the Summer Nutrition Program which <br />$2o,ooo - <br />SUMMER NUTRITION was offered at the July'16th meeting was approved by the following vote. <br />PROGRAM <br /> (2nd reading) Ayes: Mr. Barnes, Mrs. Gleason, Dr. Gunter, Dr. Hall. Noes: None. Absent: <br /> <br />Mr. Buck. <br /> <br /> <br />
