RESOLUTION: GRANTING PERMIT TO CONDUCT SHOOTING .. MATCHES BE IT RESOLVED by the C'~fi~i'~'~{~the City of. Charlottesville, Virginia that a sum sUfficient, estimat-d at $20,000, is hereby appropriated' from funds-received i'n the grants fund to expenditure account 11-.S1200 for the operation of a summer nutrition program for children in connection with the summer playground programs of the Department of Park. s and Recreation. Such appropriation shall be expended in accordance with applicable federal regulations, under U. S. Department of Agriculture grant #5864-7. Mr. HendriX stated that this was an annual request made by the Veterans of Foreign Wars. On motion by Dr. Gunter, seconded by Dr. Hall, the resolution granting a permit to conduct shooting matches to the Veterans of Foreign Wars was unanimously approved by Council. BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Charlottesville grants permission to Post No. 1827 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars to conduct shooting matches on their property located on River Road within the city limits on Friday evenings beginning September 1 1984 through December 31 1984; and ' ' BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Council be directed to send a copy of this resolution to Post 1827 of the Veterans of F.oreign Wars. RESOLUTION: Mr. Huja presented the reasons for the Planning Commission's recommendation AMENDING SPECIAL PERMIT FOR for approval of the granting of the special permit: 1) It is in harmony with 2101 ARLINGTON BLVD. the Comprehensive Plan, and 2) It will not have a significant adverse imoact on the surrounding neighborhood. Mr. Huja added that approval had been recommended conditional upon the 'timing of the construction being coordinated so as not to have undue adverse impact on the operation of the Recording for the Blind facility next. door. On motion by Dr. Hall, seconded by Dr. Gunter, Council unanimously approving the resolution granting the special permit. WHEREAS, on March 16, 19.81 this CounCil adopted a resolution granting a special pe.rmit for use of City Real Property Taxi,Parcel 6A-l.ll.located in the B-1 Business District at 2101 Arlington~Boulevard, as a hop$ital as permitted under Section 31-79 of the City Code; and WHEREAS, the special permit granted by the City Council on March 16, 1981 was amended on October 19, 1981 to provide for the expanded use of such property in accordance with the revised site plan approved by the City Planning Commission; WHEREAS, application has been made for a special permit-amendment to further add on to the David C.. Wilson Hospital at 2101 Arlington Boulevard; and WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission has recommended approval of the amendment~conditioned upon the administrative approval of .the site olan' NOW THEREFORE BE IT ' ' RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING LIBRARY TO EXPEND FEDERAL FUNDS RESOLVED by the Council of the City of CharlottesvillqVirginia that the special permit resolution adopted by City Council on March 16, 1981 for use of City Real Property Tax Parcel 6A-l.ll at 2101 Arlington Boulevard is hereby amended to provide for further addition to the hospital in accordance with the site plan approved by the City Planning Commission. Mr. Hendrix stated.that local governing bodies were required to approve the resolution before federal funds could be expended by the library. On motion by Dr. Gunter, seconded by Dr. Hall, the resolution was unanimously approved by Council.. BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of'Charlottesville, Virginia that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the City the following doCument, in form approved by the City A~ttorney: Authorization of Expenditure of Federal Aid Funds for fiscal year 1984-8S by Jefferson-Madison Regional Library. A copy of such document shall be kept on file with the minutes of the Council meeting at which this resolution was adopted.
