RESOLUTION: <br />GRANTING PERMIT <br />TO CONDUCT <br />SHOOTING .. <br />MATCHES <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the C'~fi~i'~'~{~the City of. Charlottesville, Virginia <br />that a sum sUfficient, estimat-d at $20,000, is hereby appropriated' from <br />funds-received i'n the grants fund to expenditure account 11-.S1200 for the <br />operation of a summer nutrition program for children in connection with <br />the summer playground programs of the Department of Park. s and Recreation. <br />Such appropriation shall be expended in accordance with applicable federal <br />regulations, under U. S. Department of Agriculture grant #5864-7. <br /> <br />Mr. HendriX stated that this was an annual request made by the Veterans <br /> <br />of Foreign Wars. <br /> <br /> On motion by Dr. Gunter, seconded by Dr. Hall, the resolution granting <br />a permit to conduct shooting matches to the Veterans of Foreign Wars was <br /> <br />unanimously approved by Council. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Charlottesville grants <br />permission to Post No. 1827 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars to conduct <br />shooting matches on their property located on River Road within the city <br />limits on Friday evenings beginning September 1 1984 through December 31 <br />1984; and ' ' <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Council be directed to <br /> send a copy of this resolution to Post 1827 of the Veterans of F.oreign Wars. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION: Mr. Huja presented the reasons for the Planning Commission's recommendation <br />AMENDING SPECIAL <br />PERMIT FOR for approval of the granting of the special permit: 1) It is in harmony with <br />2101 ARLINGTON <br />BLVD. the Comprehensive Plan, and 2) It will not have a significant adverse imoact <br /> <br /> on the surrounding neighborhood. Mr. Huja added that approval had been <br /> recommended conditional upon the 'timing of the construction being coordinated <br /> so as not to have undue adverse impact on the operation of the Recording for <br /> the Blind facility next. door. <br /> <br />On motion by Dr. Hall, seconded by Dr. Gunter, Council unanimously <br /> <br />approving the resolution granting the special permit. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on March 16, 19.81 this CounCil adopted a resolution granting a <br />special pe.rmit for use of City Real Property Taxi,Parcel 6A-l.ll.located in <br />the B-1 Business District at 2101 Arlington~Boulevard, as a hop$ital as <br />permitted under Section 31-79 of the City Code; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the special permit granted by the City Council on March 16, <br />1981 was amended on October 19, 1981 to provide for the expanded use of such <br />property in accordance with the revised site plan approved by the City <br />Planning Commission; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, application has been made for a special permit-amendment to <br />further add on to the David C.. Wilson Hospital at 2101 Arlington Boulevard; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission has recommended approval of the <br />amendment~conditioned upon the administrative approval of .the site olan' NOW <br />THEREFORE BE IT ' ' <br /> <br />RESOLUTION: <br />AUTHORIZING <br />LIBRARY TO <br />EXPEND FEDERAL <br />FUNDS <br /> <br /> RESOLVED by the Council of the City of CharlottesvillqVirginia that <br />the special permit resolution adopted by City Council on March 16, 1981 for <br />use of City Real Property Tax Parcel 6A-l.ll at 2101 Arlington Boulevard <br />is hereby amended to provide for further addition to the hospital in <br />accordance with the site plan approved by the City Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Mr. Hendrix stated.that local governing bodies were required to approve <br /> <br />the resolution before federal funds could be expended by the library. <br /> <br />On motion by Dr. Gunter, seconded by Dr. Hall, the resolution was <br /> <br />unanimously approved by Council.. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of'Charlottesville, Virginia <br />that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the City <br />the following doCument, in form approved by the City A~ttorney: <br /> <br />Authorization of Expenditure of Federal Aid Funds for fiscal year <br />1984-8S by Jefferson-Madison Regional Library. <br /> <br /> A copy of such document shall be kept on file with the minutes of the <br />Council meeting at which this resolution was adopted. <br /> <br /> <br />
