TO AMEND AND REORDAIN <br />SECTION 28-~. OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976, <br />RELATING TO LOCATION OF CITY UTIDITY LINES," which was offered <br />at the meeting of November St~,was approved by the following <br />vote. Ayes: Mr. Barnes, Mr. Buck, Mrs. Gleason, Dr. Gunter,~ <br />Dr. Hall. Noes: None. <br /> <br /> After a discussion of the width of the strip.of land to <br /> <br />be subject to a restrictive covenant, Dr. Gunter made a motion <br />that the strip of landscaped land be no less than an average <br />of 2S fee% in width, With no portion less than 20 feet and <br />running the entire length of the property. Mrs. Gleason seconded <br />the motion and it was unanimously approved by Council. <br /> <br /> ~The ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND. REENACTING <br /> <br />THE DISTRICT.MAP INCORPORATED IN SECTION 31-4 OF THE ZONING <br />ORDINANCE OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976, BY THE <br />REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED BETWEEN LANKFORD AVENUE AND CHERRY <br />AVENUE.(BURNET NURSERY PROPERTY)," which was offered at the meeting <br />of November Sth and which property is subject to the restrictive <br />covenant described above, was approved by the following vote. Ayes: <br /> <br />Mr. Barnes, Mr. Buck, Mrs. Gleason, Dr. Gunter, Dr. Hall. Noes: None. <br /> <br /> The ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE CLOSING, VACATING AND <br />DISCONTINUING A PORTION OF PARK PLACE" 'which was offered at the <br />meeting of November Sth was approved by the following vote. Ayes: <br /> <br />Mr. Barnes, Mr. Buck, Mrs. Gleason, Dr. Gunter, Dr. Hall. Noes: NOne. <br /> <br /> Mr. Hendrix stated that viewers had been appointed and reported <br />no objections to ~he alley closing and tKat staff had no objections. <br /> <br /> Ms. Carol Hurt, representing the petitioners, stated that the <br /> alley existed on paper only. <br /> <br /> The ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE CLOSING, VACATING AND <br />DISCONTINUING AN ALLEY CONNECTING FORREST STREET AND ALBEMARLE STREET" <br />was moved by Mrs.. Gleason, seconded by Mr. Barnes, and carried over <br />to the next meeting for consideration. <br /> <br /> Mr. Gary O'Connell, Assistant City Manager, stated this ordinance <br /> would change the automobile sticker payment date from April IS to <br /> January 31. Mr. O'Connell added that the recommendation resulted <br /> from a staff study which was investigating ways to simplify and <br /> computerize the system and which was also investigating twice a year <br /> collection of personal property taxes. <br /> <br /> The ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO J~END AND REORDAIN <br /> SECTIONS 10-S9 AND 10-S9.1, AS AMENDED, OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br /> CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976, RELATING TO PAYMENT AND EXPIRATION DATES FOR <br /> CITY MOTOR VEHICLE LICENSES, AND TO PROVIDE FOR PRO-RATED FEES FOR <br /> SUCH LICENSES IN 198S" was moved by Mrs. Gleason, seconded by Mr. <br /> Barnes and carried over .t-o the next meeting for Consideration. <br /> <br /> <br />
