Consultant <br />$ 2,500 <br /> <br />Resolution re: <br />Pay Plan for F/Y <br />1979-80 <br /> <br />Resolution re: <br />Raffle Permit <br />Ch'ville Cat Club <br /> <br />Consideration re: <br />Resolution - Special <br />Permit for Use of <br />property at 916 Preston <br />Avenue <br /> <br />some of the housing' problems in the 10th and Page Street, Rugby, <br />Grady Neighborhoods. He stated all the details of this grant have <br />been worked out, but it would be basically one fOr persons who <br />are in rental property who could be transferred to home ownership. <br />He stated that it was his feeling that before this program is put <br />together and submittedfor approval the Council Should have an <br />opportunity to review the concept and advise whether it should be <br />done. It was the general consensus of Council that the staff <br /> <br />should proceed with this program. <br /> The resolution appropriating $2,325.87 for Criminal Justice <br />Coordinating Council, which was offered at the meeting of the Council <br />on April 2, 1979, was adopted by the following recorded vote. Ayes: <br />Mr. Albro, Mr. Brunton, Mr. Buck, Mr. Gatewood and Mrs. O'Brien. <br /> <br />Noes: None. <br /> The resolution appropriating $2,500 for Cable TV consultant, <br />which was offered at the meeting of the Council on April 2, 1979, <br />was adopted by the following recorded vote. A~es: Mr. Albro, <br />Mr. Brunton, Mr. Buck, Mr. Gatewood and Mrs. O'Brien. Noes: None. <br /> On motion by Mrs. O'Brien, seconded by Mr. Albro the following <br /> resolution was unanimously adopted. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br /> Charlottesville that a document consisting of 22 pages comprising <br /> the Employee Classification Pay Plan for the City of <br /> Charlottesville to be effective July 1, 1979, assigning salary <br /> ranges to each class position in the City service is hereby <br /> approved pursuant to ~20-27 and ~20-28 of the City Code and <br /> a copy of the same sh~ll be kept on file with the records of <br /> this meeting. <br /> on motion by Mrs. O'Brien, seconded by Mr. Albro the following <br /> resolution was. unanimously a~opted. <br /> WHEREAS, the Charlottesville Cat Club, Incorporated <br /> has duly applied for a permit to conduct raffles in compliance <br /> with §17-19 of the Code of the City of Charlottesville, 1976, as <br /> amended; and <br /> WHEREAS, it has been determined that the Charlottesville <br /> Cat Club, Incorporated meets the qualifications as outlines in <br /> §17-19; and <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br /> of Charlottesville that a permit be grante9 to the Charlottesville <br /> Cat Club, Incorporated to conduct raffles zn accordance with all <br /> the provisions of §17-19 of the Code of the City of Charlottesville <br /> for a period beginning April 16, 1979 and ending June 30, 1979; and <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Council be <br /> directed to send a copy of this resolution to the President of <br /> the Charlottesville Cat Club, Incorporated. <br /> A communication was presented from the Planning Commission <br /> recommending that the application for a special permit to use the <br /> property andbuilding at the rear of 916 Preston Avenue as a light <br /> assembly 'establishment be approved for the following reasons: 1. <br /> it is in harmony with the 1990 Land Use Plan; and 2. it will not <br /> have a significant adverse impact on the surrounding properties <br /> in the neighborhood. On motion by Mr. Gatewood, seconded by Fir. <br /> Albro the following resolution was unanimously adopted. <br /> <br /> <br />
