Consultant $ 2,500 Resolution re: Pay Plan for F/Y 1979-80 Resolution re: Raffle Permit Ch'ville Cat Club Consideration re: Resolution - Special Permit for Use of property at 916 Preston Avenue some of the housing' problems in the 10th and Page Street, Rugby, Grady Neighborhoods. He stated all the details of this grant have been worked out, but it would be basically one fOr persons who are in rental property who could be transferred to home ownership. He stated that it was his feeling that before this program is put together and submittedfor approval the Council Should have an opportunity to review the concept and advise whether it should be done. It was the general consensus of Council that the staff should proceed with this program. The resolution appropriating $2,325.87 for Criminal Justice Coordinating Council, which was offered at the meeting of the Council on April 2, 1979, was adopted by the following recorded vote. Ayes: Mr. Albro, Mr. Brunton, Mr. Buck, Mr. Gatewood and Mrs. O'Brien. Noes: None. The resolution appropriating $2,500 for Cable TV consultant, which was offered at the meeting of the Council on April 2, 1979, was adopted by the following recorded vote. A~es: Mr. Albro, Mr. Brunton, Mr. Buck, Mr. Gatewood and Mrs. O'Brien. Noes: None. On motion by Mrs. O'Brien, seconded by Mr. Albro the following resolution was unanimously adopted. BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that a document consisting of 22 pages comprising the Employee Classification Pay Plan for the City of Charlottesville to be effective July 1, 1979, assigning salary ranges to each class position in the City service is hereby approved pursuant to ~20-27 and ~20-28 of the City Code and a copy of the same sh~ll be kept on file with the records of this meeting. on motion by Mrs. O'Brien, seconded by Mr. Albro the following resolution was. unanimously a~opted. WHEREAS, the Charlottesville Cat Club, Incorporated has duly applied for a permit to conduct raffles in compliance with §17-19 of the Code of the City of Charlottesville, 1976, as amended; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that the Charlottesville Cat Club, Incorporated meets the qualifications as outlines in §17-19; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that a permit be grante9 to the Charlottesville Cat Club, Incorporated to conduct raffles zn accordance with all the provisions of §17-19 of the Code of the City of Charlottesville for a period beginning April 16, 1979 and ending June 30, 1979; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Council be directed to send a copy of this resolution to the President of the Charlottesville Cat Club, Incorporated. A communication was presented from the Planning Commission recommending that the application for a special permit to use the property andbuilding at the rear of 916 Preston Avenue as a light assembly 'establishment be approved for the following reasons: 1. it is in harmony with the 1990 Land Use Plan; and 2. it will not have a significant adverse impact on the surrounding properties in the neighborhood. On motion by Mr. Gatewood, seconded by Fir. Albro the following resolution was unanimously adopted.
