Appropriation re: <br />$3,750 - Airport <br />Master Plan <br /> <br />App=0priation re: <br />Tennis Patrons <br />Amended to $1,000 <br /> <br />Economic Development <br />Strategy - Adopted <br /> <br />Resolution re: <br />Special Permit for <br />Use of property at <br />2025 Ivy Road <br /> <br />Resolution re: <br />Special Permit for <br />use of property on <br />west side of Cedars <br />Court <br /> <br /> ~The resolution appropriating $3~750 for the City's share of the <br />cost of the Airport Master Plan which was offered at the meeting of <br />the Council on June 4, 1979, was adopted by the following recorded <br />vote. Ayes: Mr, Albro, Mr. Bm.unton, Mr. Buck, Mr. Gatewood and <br />Mrs. O'.Brien. Noes: None. <br /> <br /> The resolution appropriating $1,600 for the mobile tennis <br />program which was offered at the meeting of the Council on June <br />4, 1979, was amended to read $1,000 and adopted by the following <br />recorded vote. Ayes: Mr. Brunton, Mr.Buck, and Mrs. O'Brien. Noes: <br />Mr. Albro and Mr. Gatewood. <br /> <br /> The proposed'Economic Development Strategy was again considered. <br />On motion by Mrs. O'Brien, seconded by Mr. Albro the endorsement of <br />the Central Virginia Development Corporation was changed to read <br />"endorse the concept of a local development corporation" and the <br />reference to the endorsement of the Central Virginia Development <br />Corporation was deleted by unanimous vote. On motion by Mrs. <br />O'Brien, seconded by Mr. Buck the Economic Development Strategy <br />as amended was unanimously adopted. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Albro, seconded by Mr.~Buck the following <br />resolution was unanimously adopted. <br /> <br /> ~{EREAS, Hardees Food Systems, Incorporated has applied <br />for a special permit to use property owned by it located at <br />2025 Ivy Road in a B-2 Business District to expand the existing <br />restaurant on the property and install a d=ive-in window; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, such application has been duly advertised as <br />provided by law, and has been subject of a public hearing jointly <br />held by this Council and the City Planning Commission on June <br />12, 1979; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission has recommended <br />approval of such special permit, now, therefore, be it <br /> <br /> RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, <br />Virginia that: <br /> <br /> (1) The property located in a B-2 Business District <br />at 2025 Ivy Road, designated as Parcel 2.1 on City Real Property <br />Tax Map 7, is hereby granted a special permit for use as a drive- <br />in restaurant, as permitted under §31-86 of the City Code. <br /> <br /> (2) The Council finds that such use conforms to the <br />requiremenns for special permits generally imposed by Article II <br />(§31-218 et seq.) of Chapter 31 of the City Code, and this permit <br />is subject to all conditions and restrictions imposed generally <br />by such article. <br /> <br /> (3) Such special permit shall be limited to that portion <br />of the aforesaid property designated for such use on the site plan <br />submitted with the special permit application, and shall further <br />be conditioned upon development of the property in accordance with <br />such site plan, as conditioned by the Planning Commission, and <br />finally approved by the Director of Planning. <br /> <br />On motion by Mrs. O'Brien, seconded by Mr. Albro the following <br /> <br />resolution was unanimously adopted. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Henry J. Javor and Stan Wilcox have applied for <br />a special permit to use a portion of property owned by them, and <br />located on the west side of Cedars Court, south of the Cedars <br />Nursing Home, as a home for the elderly, or group home for up <br />to 160 residents; and ' <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, such application has been duly advertised as <br />provided by law, and has been the subject of a public hearing <br />jointly held by this Council and the City Planning Commission on <br />June 12, 1979; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission has recommended <br />approval of such special permit, now, therefore, be it <br /> <br />71 <br /> <br /> <br />
