He predicted <br /> <br />the cost for this project would be returned to the Utility fund in <br /> <br />less than 2 years by the increase in cash flow and the reduction <br /> <br />and .the amount of terminated accounts. (Full report on file~with <br /> <br />the minutes of this meeting). <br /> <br />The Council approved the implementation of the new billing <br /> <br />system as presented. <br /> <br />On motion by Mrs. O'Brien, seconded by Mr. Albro the following <br /> <br />resolution was offered and carried over to the next meeting for <br />consideration. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottes- <br />ville, that the sum of $1,800 is hereby appropriated from the Grants <br />Fund to expenditure account 11~21060 for the purchase of an <br />~dditionai radar unit for the Police 'Department, provided that such <br />appropriation is conditioned upon the receipt in the Grants Fund of <br />a like amount in federal funds from DOT Safety Grant PT79-540-068-1. <br /> <br />The City Manager advised the Council that the recent bids received <br /> <br />for.:Fire Department Pumper indicate that American La France is the <br />low bidder at $106,348. He stated that $95,000 is included in the <br /> <br />budget for the purchase of the Pumper and an additional appropriation <br /> <br />in the amount of $11,348 is needed. <br /> <br />On motion bY Mr. Albro, seconded by Mrs, O'Brien the following <br /> <br />resolution was offered and carried over to the next meeting for <br /> <br />consideration. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottes- <br />ville, that the additional sum of $11,348 is hereby appropriated <br />from the unappropriated balance of the Capital Fund to the <br />expenditure account 05-00820, to be used in conjunction with the <br />sum of $95,000 previously appropriated to such account for the <br />pumchase of a new pumper truck for the Fire Department. <br /> <br />The City Attorney advised the Council that there was some <br /> <br />problems with the account number to which the funds were appropriated <br /> <br />for the Belmont Drainage Project and requested that an amended re:solution <br /> <br />be adopted to correct the account code. <br /> <br />On motion by Mr. Gatewood, seconded by Mr. Albro the following <br /> <br />resolution was unanimously adopted. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, <br />that the following appropriation Resolution adopted on December 3, <br />1979 is amended and readopted as follows: <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, <br />Virginia that the sum of $100,956.00 is hereby appropriated from the <br />:unappropriated balance of the Capital Fund to expenditure account <br />05-00920 to be expended in conjunction with federal funds already <br />appropriated to account 14-31560 in the CDBG Fund for the construction <br />of storm drainage improvements in the Belmont neighborhood between <br />Bolling Avenue and Quarry Road. <br /> <br />On motion by Mrs. O'Brien, seconded by Mr. Albro the following <br /> <br />resolution was unanimously adopted] <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ordinance adopted by the Council on July 19, <br />1976, which created the Authority (the "Ordinance"), provided that <br />the Authority shall not finance any facility until the location and <br />financing of such facility have been approved by the Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia <br />(the "Council"), has created the Industrial Development Authority of <br />the City of Charlottesville, Virginia (the Authority ), pursuant to <br />the Virginia Industrial Development and Revenue Bond Act to fulfill <br />the purposes of such Act; and <br /> <br /> <br />
