Ayes: Mr. Albro,
Mr. Brunton, Mr. Buck, Mr. Gatewood, Mrs. O'Brien. Noes:
None.

Mrs. O'Brien suggested that the staff be authorized to release
only $5,000.00 of this appropriation and no more of the funds be
released unless the 13C issue is resolved by March 14. If
JAUNT is unable to reach an agreement with Albemarle County and
resolve this issue, she would like the City then to request
JAUNT to transfer to the City sponsorship of their grant.

She asked JAUNT to report back to Council on the 17th of March.
The motion was seconded by Mr. Buck and unanimously adopted.
The resolution appropriating $1,000.00 for expenses of the
City-County Cooperation Committee, which was offered at the
meeting of the Council on February 19, 1980, was adopted by
the following recorded vote. She
also asked if maybe the program could be scaled down to save the
essential elements such as a physician and a prevention person

or whether the program has to go forward at such a large scale.
The matter was dropped for lack of a motion.

Mr. Gatewood stated he feels it is a very worthwhile program,
