Resolution re: Bingo Permit - Laura Rebekah Lodge No. 26 ResolutiOn re: Raffle Permit - Christ Episcopal Church Ordinance re: Amending City Code Sec. 21-8 relating to the disposition of found property Consideration re: Ordinance - relating to licenses for volunteer firefighters AS, it has been determined that the Charl ducational Foundation meets the qualifications as outlined in ~17-19; 493 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that a permit be granted to the Charlottesville Educational Foundation to conduct raffles and bingo parties in accordance with all the provisions of §17-19 of the Code of the City of Charlottesville for a period beginning February 20 1979 and ending December 31 1979; and ' ' BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Council be directed to send a copy of this resolution to the Director, Charlottesville Educational Foundation. On motion by Mrs. O'Brien, seconded by Mr. Albro the following resolution was unanimously adopted. WHEREAS, the Laura Rebekah Lodge No. 26 has duly applied for a permit to conduct bingo parties in compliance with §17-19 of the Code of the City of Charlottesville, 1976, as amended; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that the Laura Rebekah Lodge No. 26 meets the qualifications as outlined in §17-19; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that a permit be granted to the Laura Rebekah Lodge No. 26 to conduct bingo parties in accordance with all the provisions of §17-19 of the Code of the City of Charlottesville for a period beginning February 20, 1979 and ending December 31, 19~79; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Council be directed to send a copy of this resolution to the Secretary, Laura Rebekah Lodge No. 26. On motion by Mrs. O'Brien, seconded by Mr. Albro the following resolution was unanimously adopted. WHEREAS, the Christ Episcopal Church has duly applied for a permit to conduct raffles in compliance with §17-19 of the Code of the City of Charlottesville, 1976, as. amend~ed; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that the Christ Episcopal Church meets the qualifications as outlined in §17-19; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the COuncil of the City of Charlottesville that a permit be granted to the Christ Episcopal Church to conduct raffles in accordance with all the provisions of §17-19 of the Code of the City of Charlottesville for a period beginning February 20, 1979 and ending December 31, 1979; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Council be directed to send a copy of this resolution to the Christ Episcopal Church. An ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND REORDAIN SECTION 21-8(c) OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE DISPOSITION OF FOUND PROPERTY," which was offered at the meeting of the Council on February 5, 1979, was adopted by the following recorded vote. Ayes: Mr. Albro, Mr. BruntQn, Mr. Buck, Mr. Gatewood and Mrs. O'Brien. Noes: None. An ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND REORDAIN SECTION 10-59.1 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976, AS AMENDED, PERTAINING TO LICENSES FOR VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS," was offered by Mrs. O'Brien, seconded by Mr. Albro and carried over to the next meeting for consideration.
