<br />, the City of Charlottesville, through the Police Department, has received a
<br />Virginia Highway Safety Grant award from the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of
<br />Motor Vehicles in the amount of $18,000, to be used for overtime, equipment, and training
<br />related to highway safety and the City of Charlottesville, through the Police Department, will
<br />utilize highway safety related expenditures as an in-kind match in the amount of $3,600.
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED
<br /> by the Council of the City of
<br />Charlottesville, Virginia, that the sum of $18,000, received from the Commonwealth of Virginia
<br />Department of Motor Vehicles (2010 Virginia Highway Safety Grant) is hereby appropriated in
<br />the following manner:

<br />Charlottesville Police Department Foundation contribution in the amount of $1,500 to fund
<br />attendance to the 2009 National Crimes Against Children Conference; and
<br />WHEREAS
<br /> , these funds shall not be deemed to expire at the end of the fiscal year, but
<br />are hereby appropriated in the ensuing fiscal year.
<br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED

<br />Charlottesville, Virginia, that the sum of $1,500.00, received from the Charlottesville Police
<br />Department Foundation, is hereby appropriated in the following manner:
