CONSENT AGENDA The appropriation for the Juvenile Detention Home Study was deferred to the October 14th meeting. The resolution approving a cafe permit for the Hardware Store Restaurant was removed from the consent agenda. On motion by Ms. Daughe~y, seconded by Mr. Toscano, the following consent agenda items were unanimously approved by Council: a. l~nutes of September 10, 13, 16, 18, 22/23, 24 and 25 b. APPROPRIATION: $49,961 - JAUNT Shortfall (FY 95) (2nd reading) BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, that the sum of $49,961.00 is hereby appropriated from the balance of the General Fund to JAUNT (05-301-053011) to cover a shortfall in the City's contribution to JAUNTs operating funds due to increased ridership by City residents during fiscal year 1995. c. APPROPRL~TION: $8,750 - Health Department Renovation (2nd reading) BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, that the sum of $8,750.00 is hereby appropriated from the unappropriated balance of the General Fund to expenditure account 26-181-061015 in the Capital Fund as the City's share of additional funds necessary to complete the renovations to the Health Department building on Rose Hill Drive. d. APPROPRIATION: $49,862.81 - Fire Programs (2nd reading) BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, that the sum of $49,862.81 received by the City Treasurer's Office from the Commonwealth of Virginia for the "Fire Programs Fund," is hereby appropriated to the Charlottesville Fire Department (11-260-042020-43108). e. APPROPRLS~TION: $50,000 - Metropolitan Planning Organization Grant (2nd reading) BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, that the sum of $50,000 is hereby appropriated to expenditure account 11-042-053050 in the Grants Fund for planning activities, including administration, transportation planning and data development, updating the Charlottesville-Albemarle Transportation Stud5, (CATS) and intermodal/congestion management planning as outlined in the Unified Transportation Planning Work Program. Such activities shall be conducted by the City under a contract pursuant to a Section 112 planning and programming grant received by the Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT). This appropriation is conditioned upon receipt by the City of $40,000 from the Federal Highway Administration, and $5,000 from the Virginia Department of Transportation, for a total of $45,000 from the pass-through agency, Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City's ten percent (10%) local match of $5,000 is hereby appropriated to account code 05-302-131032 from the unappropriated balance of the General Fund for transfer to the Grants Fund.
