Charlottesville, Virginia, that the sum of ~287,400 to be <br />received as a Recreational Access Fund grant from the <br />Commonwealth Transportation Board, is hereby appropriated to <br />expenditure account 26-171-121050 for the purpose of <br />construction a new access road to McIntire P~ark. In <br />accepting this grant, the City agrees to: <br /> <br /> 1) Provide all necessary right of way and utility <br />adjustments at no cost to the Commonwealth of Virginia; <br /> <br /> 2) Execute by its City Manager an appropriate <br />contractual agreement between the Virginia Department of <br />Transportation and the City to provide for: <br /> <br /> a) the design, construction, administration and <br />maintenance of the access road project; <br /> <br /> b) contribution by City of $37,400 in matching <br />funds to the project; <br /> <br /> c) payment by City of all ineligible project costs <br />and all eligible costs in excess of this allocation from <br />sources other than those administered by VDOT. <br /> <br /> 3) Close the crossover and left turn lane to McIntire <br />Park from the eastbound lane of the Route 250 Bypass at no <br />cost to the Recreational Access Fund. <br /> <br /> By resolution approved July 3, 1989, the City approved <br />the designation of the new access road as a "Virginia Byway" <br />and pledged to use its good offices to reasonably protect the <br />aesthetic and cultural value of said access road. <br /> <br /> The City's matching share of such grant, $37,400, was <br />appropriated by Council on July 3, 1989. This appropriation <br />is conditioned upon receipt of $287,400 from the Commonwealth <br />Transportation Board. <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION: $29,000 - COMMUNITY SUPERVISION PROGRAM <br />(2nd reading) <br /> <br /> The $29,000 appropriation for the Community Supervision <br />Program which was offered at the August 6th meeting was <br />approved by the following vote. Ayes: Rev. Edwards, Ms. <br />Slaughter, Mr. Toscano, Mr. Vandever, Ms. Waters. Noes: <br />None. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of'the City of Charlottesville, <br />Virginia, that the sum of $29,000, to be received from the <br />Department of Youth and Family Services as a one-time grant, is <br />hereby appropriated to expenditure account 13-162-062130 to be <br />used to fund the Community Supervision Program in FY 90-01. This <br />appropriation is conditioned upon receipt of $29,000 from the <br />Department of YoUth and Family Services~ <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION: <br /> <br />(2nd reading) <br /> <br />$24,457.50 - PROCEEDS FROM SEIZURE ASSETS <br /> <br /> The ~24,475.50 appropriation of the proceeds from <br />seizure assets which was offered at the August 6th meeting <br />was approved by the following vote. Ayes: Rev. Edwards, Ms. <br />Slaughter, Mr. Toscano, Mr. Vandever, Ms. Waters. Noes: <br />None. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Police Department of the City of ~ <br />Charlottesville has received funds totalling $24,457.50, <br />representing money obtained from the sale of assets lawfully <br />seized by the City Police Department from persons <br />subsequently convicted of drug related crimes; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, ~said funds have been deposited with~the <br />Treasurer of the City~ and <br /> <br /> <br />
