Ayes: Rev. <br />Edwards, Ms. Slaughter, Mr. Toscano, Mr. Vandever, Ms. <br />Waters. Noes: None. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville, Virginia, that the sum of $32,000, received <br />from the Charlottesville Redevelopment and Housing Authority <br />for the purpose of funding the Minority Business Assistance <br />Program, is hereby appropriated to expenditure account <br />05-020-091026 to be expended through the Office of Minority <br />Business Assistance during fiscal year 1990-91. <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION: $1,500 - MINORITY BUSINESS ASSOCIATION BANQUET <br />(2nd reading) · <br /> <br /> Mr, Toscano reconu~ended tabling the appropriation until <br /> an accounting is received from the MinOrity Business <br /> Association. <br /> <br /> Mr. Vandever noted that the appropriation specified that <br />the amount of the contribution would be limited to the amount <br />of the shortfall for the banquet. <br /> <br /> The appropriation of up to $1,500 for the Minority <br />Business Association banquet which was offered at the <br />November 5th meeting was approved by the following vote. <br />Ayes: Rev. Noes: Ms. <br />Slaughter and Mr. Toscano. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the' Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville, Virginia that the sum of $1,500 is hereby <br />appropriated from the unexpended balance of the General Fund <br />to the Central Virginia Minority Business Association in <br />support of the educational objectives and programs of the <br />Association's annual banquet. Any portion of the $1,500 not <br />used for such purpose shall be returned to the City. <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION: $906,923.39 - JOB TRAINING PARTNERSHIP ACT <br /> <br /> Mr. Hendrix explained that the appropriation was the <br />annual appropriation of the federal funds for the Job <br />Training Partnership Act Program for which the City acts as <br />administrative agent. <br /> <br /> <br />
