Noes: None. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the COuncil of the City of <br />Charlottesville, Virginia that the sum of $67,000 is hereby <br />appropriated to expenditure account 11-042-053050 in the <br />Grants Fund for planning activities, including <br />administration, data base maintenance and a study of <br />transportation needs for the southern City/County area. Such <br />activities shall be conducted by the City under a contract <br />from the Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission <br />(TJPDC) pursuant to a Section 112 planning and programming <br />grant received by TJPDC from the Federal Highway <br />Administration (FHWA) and the Virginia Department of Highways <br />and Transportation (VHD&T). <br /> <br /> This appropriate shall be conditioned upon the receipt <br /> by the City for credit to the Grants Fund of $55,325 in FHWA <br /> funds, and $5,838 in VDH&T funds. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the balance of the foregoing <br /> grant, the sum of $5,837, is hereby appropriated.from the <br /> unappropriated balance of the General Fund for transfer to <br /> the Grants Fund as the City!s matching share of such grant. <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION: $3,000 ', DRUG SEIZURE ASSETS (2nd reading) <br /> <br /> The $3,000 appropriation of the drug~seizure assets <br /> which was offered at the August 7th meeting was approved by <br /> the following vote.
