Inspection of amusement rides. <br /> <br />STAFF REPORT: CHARLOTTESVILLE HOUSING FOUNDATION <br /> <br /> Mr. Hendrix recommended that the funding request of the <br />Charlottesville Housing Foundation be taken up as part of the <br />budget and explained that the request could be funded from <br />the following: CDBG funds, capital funds, general funds,-'or <br />revolving loan funds. <br /> <br /> Ms. Waters recommended that staff identify models in <br />other cities and explore ways to maintain the housing as <br />affordable· - -' <br /> <br />STAFF REPORT: CSX DESIGN GUIDELINES <br /> <br /> Mr. Stan Tatum, Chairman of ~the Urban Design Committee, <br />stated that the Committee had~interjected local concerns into <br />the report prepared by LDR and made the following primary <br />recommendations for design guidelines for. the CSX property: <br />mixed use of urban character; the architecture should relate <br />to the rest of the downtown area, but also be distinct; <br />pedestrian character should be encouraged, with pedestrian <br />dominated sidewalks 15 feet wide and others 10 feet wide; <br />parking should be screened as as internal ~as possible Mr. <br />Tatum stated that the Planning Commission made adjustments to <br />the width of the sidewalks and to the transparency of street <br />level facades. <br /> <br /> Responding to a question from Mr. Towe, Mr..Tatum stated <br />that the height of buildings would range from 25 to 45 feet, <br />and up to 60 feet for the signature building. <br /> <br /> On motion by Rev.
