Edwards, seconded by Mr. Vandever, the <br /> Rivanna Park Greenbelt Plan was unanimouslY adOpted by <br /> Council. <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION: ~50,000 VHDA GRANT FOR RENTAL REHABILITATION <br /> <br /> Mr. Hendrix stated that the VHDA funds woUld alloW <br /> grants and deferred loans to be made to property owners to <br /> ~rehabilitate rental property. <br /> <br /> On motion by Rev.~Edwards, ~seconded by Mr Vandever, the <br />$50,000 appropriation of the VHDA grant for the Rental <br />Rehabilitation Program was offered and carried over to the <br />next meeting for consideration. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION: APPROVING RECORDATION OF RIVANNA PARK PLAT <br /> <br /> Mr. Hendrix stated that.property ~adjustments were <br />required due to the location of the entrance road into <br />Rivanna Park. <br /> <br /> On motion by Rev. Edwards, seconded by Mr. Vandever, the <br />resolution approving the recordation of Rivanna Park plat was <br />unanimously approved by Council. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING MAYOR TO SIGN LEASE WITH VIRGINIA <br />DISCOVERY MUSEUM <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Vandever, seconded by Rev. Edwards, the <br />resolution authorizing the Mayor to sign the lease with the <br />Virginia Discovery Museum was unanimously approved by <br />Council. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />charlottesVille that the Mayor is hereby authorized to <br />execute on behalf of the City, in form approved by the City <br />Attorney, the following document: <br /> <br />Lease between the City of Charlottesville and the <br />Virginia Discovery Museum fo~ use_of the property <br />located at 524 East Main Street, Charlottesville, <br />virginia. ~ <br /> <br /> A copy of such document Shall be kept on file With the <br />minutes of the Council meeting at which this resolution was <br />adopted. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE: CLOSING ALLEY BETWEEN 1ST AND 2ND STREET, N.E. BEHIND <br />JEFFERSON NATIONAL BANK <br /> <br /> Mr. Hendrix stated that the Planning Commission <br /> recommended that the alley be closed, contingent upon <br /> development of the Jefferson National Bank Headquarters site <br /> plan as approved. Mr. Hendrix explained that staff <br /> recommended against placing this conditiOn on the alley <br /> closing as such conditions have never been placed by the City <br /> on street or alley closings. <br /> <br /> On motion by Rev. Edwards, seconded by Mr. Towe, the <br /> ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE CLOSING, VACATING AND <br /> DISCONTINUING AN ALLEY BETWEEN FIRST AND SECOND STREETS, <br /> N,E.," not containing any contingency on the closing, was <br /> offered and carried over to the next meeting for <br /> consideration. <br /> <br />PUBLIC <br /> <br /> <br />
