Land or building used for two or more
purposes.
(a) When any land or building is used for two or more
purposes, the number of parking spaces required shall be the sum
of the requirements for the various individual uses, computed
separately in accordance with this chapter. Parking facilities
for one use shall not be considered as providing the required
parking facilities for any other use, except as provided in sub-
section (c) of this section.
41 (b) Requirements for the provision of parking facilities
with respect to two or more property uses of the same or
different types may be satisfied by the permanent allocation of
the requisite number of spaces for each use in a common parking
facility cooperatively established and operated; provided, that
the number of spaces provided shall not be less than the sum of
the individual requirements; provided further, that the require-
ments in regard to location and plan of such facilities shall be
complied with.
(c) The combined parking requirements for two or more non-
residential uses may be partially reduced by the director of
planning, if the required parking for one use is leased from and
shared with the other use or uses within four hundred feet and
the director finds that the two uses will not conflict in time of
operation or need for the parking spaces and that they may other-
wise conveniently share such spaces. Any subsequent change which
affects the availability and convenience of such shared spaces
shall constitute grounds for revocation of the occupancy certificate
the spaces.
Adopted by Council
January 19, 1981
Copy teste:
a een Roletter, er of Council
