• Section 24-27. Suspension of permits. <br />(a) The executive director of the Rivanna Water & Sewer <br />Authority and the director of public works may suspend a permit <br />for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days when suspension is <br />necessary in order to stop a discharge which, in the judgment of <br />the Authority, presents an imminent hazard: to the public healt <br />safety or welfare; to the local environment; or to any portion <br />of the sewerage system. <br />(b) Any discharger notified of a suspension of a permit <br />shall cease immediately the discharge of all industrial wastewater <br />into the sewerage system. In the event of a failure of a discharger <br />to comply voluntarily with the suspension order, the Rivanna Water & <br />Sewer Authority shall take such steps as are necessary reasonably <br />to ensure compliance. <br />(c) The permit may be reinstated upon such terms and conditions <br />as may be required if a reinspection by Rivanna Water & Sewer <br />Authority personnel reveals that the effluent is again in compliance <br />with the terms and conditions of the permit. <br />Section 24-28. Revocation of permits. <br />• Permits may be revoked for just cause, including but not limited <br />to: <br />(a) Violation of any terms or conditions of the permit or <br />of this article or any other applicable government regulations or <br />discharge prohibitions. <br />(b) Obtaining a permit by misrepresentation. <br />(c) Failure to disclose fully relevant facts or to report <br />significant changes in wastewater volume, constituents or character- <br />istics. <br />(d) False statements or data in any required monitoring report. <br />(e) Refusal of reasonable access to the dischar <br />for the purpose of inspection or monitorinq. <br />'s premises <br />(f) Failure to pay any and all costs properly charged by the <br />City or the Rivanna Water & Sewer Authority hereunder. <br />Ll <br />
