(d) Motor vehicle. Any self-propelled device or device <br />designed for self -propulsion, upon or by which any person or <br />• property is or may be drawn or transported upon a street, <br />highway, park, or on any private property within the City, <br />except devices moved by human power or used exclusively upon <br />stationary wheels or tracks. <br />(e) Motorcycle. Any motor vehicle designed to travel on not <br />more than three wheels in contact with the ground and any four - <br />wheeled vehicle weighing less than 500 pounds and equipped with <br />an engine of less than six horsepower, excepting farm tractors. <br />• <br />• <br />(f) Nighttime. The hours from 10 P.M. on any calendar day <br />and 6 A.M. on the next following calendar day. <br />(g) Residential zone. Any location within an R-1, R-2, R-3, <br />RHD, RMHP, RMHS or PUD district as set forth in Chapter 31 of <br />this Code. <br />Sec. 16.2-3. Prohibited Noise. <br />It shall be unlawful for any person to create or cause to <br />be created any unreasonably loud and disturbing noise if such <br />noise is created within a residential zone or within 200 feet of <br />a boundary of a residential zone. Noise prohibited by the <br />preceding sentence is audible sound of such character, <br />intensity, and duration as to be detrimental to the life or <br />health of any person , or which unreasonably disturbs or annoys <br />the quiet, comfort, or repose of any person. <br />Sec. 16.2-4. Prohibited noises enumerated. <br />The following acts, among others, if perpetrated within a <br />residential zone or within 200 feet of the boundary of a <br />residential zone are declared to be noises in violation of the <br />preceding section, but such enumeration shall not be deemed <br />exclusive, namely: <br />(a) Horns, signaling devices. etc. The sounding of any horn <br />or signal device on any motor vehicle, motorcycle, or other <br />vehicle while not in motion except as a danger signal if any <br />other vehicle is approaching apparently out of control, or if in <br />motion only as a danger signal after or as brakes are being <br />applied and deceleration of the vehicle is intended; the <br />creation by means of any such signal device of any unreasonably <br />loud or harsh sound; and sounding of such device for any <br />unreasonable period of time. <br />(b) Radios. ohonograRh. etc. The <br />other music sound system, phonograph, <br />in such a manner or with such volume, <br />nighttime, as to annoy or disturb the <br />of persons. <br />K <br />playing of any radio, or <br />or any musical instrument <br />particularly during the <br />quiet, comfort or repose <br />
