• the customer, in which instance the Director of Finance shall <br />estimate the amount of gas for uses other than air conditioning <br />and shall bill for such gas at the rates provided in section la -a <br />or ILL -6 12-3. 12-6 or 12-6.1 of this Code as applicable. <br />Sec. 12-4.1. Same - Surcharge on Albemarle County eeunty <br />residential customers. <br />Individually metered residential customers located outside <br />the corporate limits of the City, who are subject to a two dollar <br />maximum monthly charge for the Albemarle County consumer utility <br />tax, shall be subject to a surcharge equal to eight percent of <br />their monthly gas bills, excluding taxes. <br />Sec. 12-5. Same - Ornamental gas lights. <br />Unmetered gas service under this section may be furnished to <br />consumers who have installed ornamental gas lights. <br />(a) Monthly charge. The monthly charge for ornamental gas <br />lights shall be as follows: <br />(1) Three dollars and fifty-five eents $5.00 per month <br />for each light with single mantle or orifice where the monthly use <br />of gas will not exceed two me€ thousand cubic feet per light. <br />(2) Two dollars and sixty-five eents Four dollars per <br />• month for each mantle or orifice in each light using more than <br />one mantle or orifice where the monthly use of gas through each <br />orifice will not exceed one FRe€ thousand cubic feet per month. <br />(3) The above rates shall be ten percent higher for <br />such use outside of the City. <br />(b) Maintenance. Lights installed in the street right-of- <br />way shall belong to the City and shall be maintained by the City. <br />Lights installed on private property shall belong to the property <br />owner but shall be serviced by the City. Except for gas mantles, <br />all replacement parts for lights installed on private property <br />shall be at the expense of the owner who shall be billed for such <br />parts, if provided by the city. <br />feJ New gas lights- No new gas lights or ether new <br />ernamental uses of gas shall be permitted after July l; 4978 - <br />Sec. 12-6. Interruptible Cepa service. <br />(a) Conditions.
