all replacement parts for lights installed on private property <br />shall be at the expense of the owner who shall be billed for such <br />parts, if provided by the city. <br />Sec. 12-6. Interruptible sales service. <br />(a) Conditions. Interruptible sales service ("IS") gas shall <br />be supplied at locations where facilities are available to supply <br />the amount of gas requested by the customer, subject to the <br />following conditions: <br />(1) Except as provided in Section 12-6.1 below. gas delivered <br />hereunder shall be separately metered and shall not be used <br />interchangeably with gas supplied under any other schedule; <br />(2) The customer shall have installed and available for <br />immediate use equipment which will use some other fuel sufficient <br />to meet all of that customer's needs and which can be put in <br />operation within one hour after being notified by the city. <br />(b) Customer's agreement. A customer purchasing gas pursuant <br />to this section agrees to discontinue the service when requested <br />by the gas superintendent or his or her representative, on one <br />hour's notice, at any time whenever, in the sole judgment of the <br />gas superintendent, such gas is not available for delivery <br />hereunder. If the customer continues to use or consume gas under <br />this section after being notified to discontinue, the customer <br />shall be billed for all gas so consumed at a rate of ten dollars <br />per thousand cubic feet and the city shall, as soon as the <br />violation comes to its attention, terminate service to the customer <br />until the period of interruption is over. This ten dollar per <br />thousand cubic feet charge shall be in addition to any fine or <br />charge incurred by the City as a result of any unauthorized use of <br />gas by the customer. <br />(c) Basic monthly service charge. The basic monthly charge <br />for interruptible sales service shall be fifty dollars. <br />(d) Rate. For all gas consumed by interruptible customers <br />the rate shall be $4-6+26 $4.3764 per thousand cubic feet for the <br />first 600,000 cubic feet, and $471624 $4.0763 per thousand cubic <br />feet for all volumes over 600,000 cubic feet. <br />(e) Annual Minimum Quantity. Interruptible rate customers <br />shall be obligated to take or pay for a minimum quantity of <br />1,200,000 cubic feet of gas annually. Each year as of June 30 the <br />director of finance shall calculate the total consumption of each <br />interruptible customer for the preceding twelve monthly billing <br />periods, and shall bill any customer that has consumed less than <br />the minimum quantity for the deficient amount at the rate of $4-42-7 <br />$4.0763 per thousand cubic feet.
