the following information, in writing, to the Chief of Police: <br />• (1) The street address of the premises at which the Alarm <br />system is to be installed or used ("Premises"); the name, <br />mailing address and telephone number of the owner of such <br />Premises; and the name and mailing address of an <br />individual (Alarm User or Alarm User's designee) to whom <br />notices regarding the Alarm system may be sent; and <br />(2) The name(s), address(es) and telephone number(s) of at <br />least two (2) individuals who will have day-to-day <br />responsibility for the Premises and Alarm System, who <br />will be immediately available to be contacted in the <br />event an alarm is activated, and who is authorized and <br />able to deactivate the Alarm System; and <br />(3) A description of the specific type of Alarm System, <br />manufacturer's name, and the name and telephone number of <br />the Alarm Company monitoring, responding to or <br />maintaining the Alarm System. <br />(b) When possession of the premises at which an Alarm System <br />is maintained is transferred, the person or entity obtaining <br />possession of the premises shall be required to comply with the <br />registration requirements of Section 20-35(a) hereinabove. <br />• (c) Whenever the information provided by an Alarm User <br />pursuant to Section 20-35(a) changes, the correct information must <br />be provided by the Alarm User to the Police Chief within thirty <br />(30) days of the change. <br />Section 20-36. Use of alarm systems; fees for false alarms. <br />(a) In the event that more than three (3) False Alarms are <br />generated by its Alarm System within any six month period, an Alarm <br />User shall be charged, and shall pay, a fee of fifty dollars ($50) <br />for the fourth and each subsequent False Alarm that results in a <br />police response during that six-month period. <br />(b) In the event that any Alarm User fails to de -activate an <br />Alarm System within one (1) hour after being notified by police <br />that such alarm system has been activated, that Alarm User shall be <br />charged, and shall pay, a fee of twenty-five dollars ($25). This <br />fee shall be in addition to any charges which may be imposed <br />pursuant to paragraph (a), above, in this section. <br />(c) The fees authorized in this section have been calculated <br />to represent the costs, based on average time, manpower, and <br />equipment utilized, incurred by City Police personnel in monitoring <br />and responding to alarm signals generated by Alarm Systems within <br />the City. <br />• Page 3 <br />
