(3) The city manager, the director of finance and the city attorney acting together may <br />• make written authorization of any such compromise which reduces the city's claim <br />by more than one thousand dollars ($1.000.00) but <br />less than ten thousand dollars ($10.000.00). <br />(4) The city council may authorize a reduction in the amount of any such claim in excess <br />of ten thousand dollars ($10.000.00). <br />(5) The foregoing authorizations to the contrary notwithstanding, no claim for taxes shall <br />be reduced, compromised, forgiven or abated except in accordance with general law. <br />Approved by Council <br />October 21, 1997 <br />1 k of City Council <br />• <br />• <br />
