events and community events (as defined within Section 28-29(c) of the city <br />• code), and for other activities that may affect the safety or convenience of the <br />general public. The city manager is authorized to promulgate regulations to <br />govern the time, place and manner of such activities, and to establish reasonable <br />fees, charges and rentals therefor. A violation of any of the rules and regulations <br />established hereunder shall constitute a Class 4 misdemeanor. <br />CHAPTER 18. PARKS AND RECREATION <br />Sec. 18-1. . <br />Time, place or manner of park use. <br />(a) It shall be unlawful for any person to go or remain upon the premises of the <br />following parks or recreation facilities between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 <br />a.m. without the express permission of the director of parks and recreation and <br />leisure services. <br />(1) Azalea Park. <br />(14) Rives Park. <br />(b) It shall be unlawful for any person to go or remain on the premises of Lee Park or <br />• Crow and Smith Recreation Centers or their parking lots, between the hours of <br />11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. without the express permission of the director of parks <br />grid recreation and leisure services. <br />(c) It shall be unlawful for any person to go on or remain on the premises of Tonsler <br />or Washington Park between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. without the <br />express permission of the director of parks and recreation and leisure services. <br />(d) It shall be unlawful for any person to go on or remain on the premises of the <br />downtown amphitheater or McIntire Park or Pen Park between the hours of 10:00 <br />p.m. and 6:00 a.m. without the express permission of the director of parks edid <br />recreation and leisure services; provided, that it shall not be unlawful to be on the <br />premises of McIntire Park between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and midnight for the <br />purpose of attending an activity scheduled in advance with the department of <br />parks effid recreation and leisure services, or to be on the premises of the <br />downtown amphitheater after 10:00 p.m. for the purpose of attending a <br />community event taking place in that area. <br />(e) Any person violating the provisions of this section shall be guilty of a Class 3 <br />misdemeanor. <br />Prepared by Lisa R.
