• AN ORDINANCE <br />AMENDING AND REORDAINING SECTIONS 34-835,34-854, <br />34-901 AND 34-902 OF ARTICLE XXI OF CHAPTER 34 <br />OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1990, <br />AS AMENDED, RELATING TO SITE PLANS. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, that Sections <br />34-835, 34-854, 34-901 and 34-902 of Article XXI of Chapter 34 of the Charlottesville City <br />Code, 1990, as amended, are hereby amended and reordained, as follows: <br />ARTICLE XXI. SITE PLANS. <br />Sec. 34-835. Plan contents. <br />The site plan shall include the following: <br />(1) ... <br />(8) The location of all proposed buildings and structures, accessory and main <br />showing the number of stories and height, dwelling type, major excavations, <br />building elevations, and the total square footage of the floor area by proposed use. <br />Sec. 34-854. Screening. <br />All required screening shall be sufficiently dense or opaque to screen the development <br />effectively from the adjacent properties. In projects developed within the Transition Zone <br />District there shall be a vegetative or opaque buffer from adjoining residential zoning districts. <br />The following uses shall be adequately screened from the public right-of-way: <br />(1) Storage lots for automobile repair shops. <br />(2) Storage of inoperative automobiles, or automobile accessory parts such as tires, motors, <br />body parts, etc. <br />(3) Storage of construction materials, other than on active construction sites. <br />(4) Junk yards. <br />(5) Parking lots, loading areas, refuse areas, detention ponds and mechanical equipment. <br />
